A unique place. Our room was warm and cosy. Restaurant was a high standard and reasonably priced. Love the Spa. Overall a good experience but some areas do look a little tired. I would recommend this hotel. Be aware of the £15 a night parking charge if you don’t book direct at the hotel’s price. The nearby council carpark is £11 for 24 hours, and street parking around the hotel is unrestricted and free.

Workmen working outside just after 8am the first morning. No one advised this on check in. Sheets had stains on and very visible. Hotel did change the sheets but they should have never been put on the bed in the first place. Spa was very nice. Little disappointed with this level of hotel

Wonderful one night stay. Huge beautiful room, air conditioning was a bonus in this heat. Loved using the spa facilities and outdoor pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent breakfast.

This hotel is amazing in the summer due to the outdoor pool and bar terrace. It feels like being abroad. The communal areas are lovely, the food in the restaurant was very good and the spa was beautiful. The downsides of this hotel are that the room was very dated and tired (we had a cosy superking) and the parking charge of £15 per night for the hotel car park was excessive (so we parked directly outside on the road for our entire stay, which was free and actually closer to walk to with our bags than the car park).

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very nice, pool and spa were lovely and food was good. My only complaint about the room would be that the bed was too hard. The hotel is on a steep hill so if, like me, you have health issues you'll need to get a taxi back from the centre of Torquay.

This amazing hotel well surpassed our expectations. Beautifully modernised and equipped with quality fittings everywhere. Our stay coincided with some sunny hot weather so the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and bar facilities were in full use but still plenty of sun loungers and great service. New indoor pool and spa were simply fabulous, very clean, quiet and well maintained. Breakfasts were that perfect combination of extensive help yourself cold buffet and freshly cooked to order hot food from a super menu including my favourite Eggs Benedict. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
