Lovely friendly staff, a very warm welcome. Also really useful information given on the local area of places to visit by the hosts. Fantastic heated pool very attractive, clean and a real luxury. Breakfast a very good choice nicely presented and delicious cooked breakfasts. We had a premier room which was lovely overlooked the side of property and a fridge in the room was fab. Beds had firm mattresses alittle hard for my spine, but great for the majority of people.

When we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly and reassuring way by Julia. She gave us a lot of information regarding the local area and where the best restaurant's were to eat. She also showed us a map of the local area, pointing out places of interest which were suitbale for myself and my wife. The facilities at the Cimon were excellent and we would definitely come again. Breakfast was top notch and whilst we didn't use the pool, it was very well maintained and warm to the touch. Thank you for a lovely stay

Julia and Jamie were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, with plenty of choice available. The seafront with lots of restaurants and amenities are within walking distance, making it a very convenient location. The mattress was a little too firm for our liking. We would also have appreciated the option of later breakfast slots (the latest slot was 9-9.15am) and blackout curtains/blinds in the bedroom, which would have allowed us to enjoy a lie-in whilst away. Otherwise, thanks for a lovely stay :)

The owners were so lovely took time to come and speak with us, interested in what we had planned. Our room and the hotel were very clean. Nice to have the outdoor pool, with pool towels, attention to detail was the best. Pre ordered breakfast meant it was quick and hot. Would totally recommend this hotel x

Superb hosts and lovely property located ten minutes' walk up a hill from the main beach in Torquay. Two upstairs rear bedrooms have a sea view, and the interior is wonderfully in keeping with the Victorian building. Double-glazed windows and own pool a bonus. Made to feel extremely welcome and would have no hesitation in returning.

My little boy (7) and I have just come back from a wonderful half term week at The Cimon & I could not recommend it enough. A quick stroll to the beach, offering plenty of eateries, with options for all. The pool was an absolute god send as the weather was just perfect. Julia & Jamie were so lovely & helpful offering lots of ideas in and around Torquay. We will definitely return.

Nice clean swimming pool 1.4m deep, heated to 28/29°C. Nicely cooked breakfast with a selection of cereals, fruit and croissants. The hotel is at the top of a hill which is a bit of a pain if on foot with mobility issues but fortunately the number 12 bus stops not too far away at the Central Church allowing a short walk back on more level ground. The compact room is big enough for 2 with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The seagul dawn chorus reminds you that you are at the seaside but that is the same wherever you are in Torquay. There is plenty of choice nearby for places to eat and drink from fish and chips through Italian and tapas. Overall a pleasurable stay.
