Let’s begin with an overall fair evaluation. Would I stay at this property again? Yes, however I feel the price is much higher than it should be for the condition of the villa.
Positives: it’s in a quiet location on La Torre of which the grounds of the resort are maintained impeccably. There is a shop closeby and the ‘town centre’ is in easy walking distance. The security on site is fantastic and even when some Spanish boys were stopped as they were supposedly coming to our villa (didn’t know them so can only assume it was an error), security were at our door querying this with us.
The villa has plenty of facilities to keep families entertained. We were joined by our
16YO son and his friend who were very happy with the choice of either pool, bar, pool table or large TV screen in the lounge. Oh and of course wi-fi as well! It was a spacious villa (but then that’s one of the reasons we chose it) and gave us and the boys the space they needed without feeling on top of each other. The bedrooms were air conditioned and were clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Upon arrival there were quite a few issues with the cleanliness of the areas (excluding the bedrooms and bathrooms that were very clean). I won’t go into detail as they were dealt with promptly by the property manager.
However on top of that the pool table was mouldy and in poor condition and the cues didn’t have tips so couldn’t be used. Again this was dealt with and after a few days into our stay (we arrived Sunday and it was sorted on the Wednesday) it was completely refurbished and cues repaired.
The pool on arrival hadn’t been cleaned (we were told we’d have to wait until Tuesday) and there was lots of silt at the base. Yes it was useable but not the standard we’ve come to expect when staying at other villas on the resort in previous years.
This villa is also full of gadgets, which is great if you love a gadget but not so great if 1) you don’t know how to use them (no instructions) or 2) there are so many remote controls that you require lots of batteries. Unfortunately we had to go and buy some ourselves in order to get the a/c units working. However the property manager did turn up with some the following day.
The shower door in the bathroom wouldn’t close so my husband repaired that but not really what you want to be doing when you’re on holiday and you’ve paid a significant amount to stay somewhere.
All in all we had an OK stay but it was tainted by the issues we had on arrival.
