A great hotel, rooms and facilities excellent. Since my last visit they have upgraded many areas and equipment. Loved it before, but even better now. If i have a moan, it wokld be the rooftop pool not heated. On my first visit 4 years ago it was heated, but subsequent visits no. A shame.

Mostly good for our short winter break.
There was a problem when we first arrived to check-in - our booking did not appear to be in their system - however this was eventually sorted out (took about 20 minutes) and we were given an upgraded room. After that all was mostly good. Room and bathroom were good size, with comfortable bed - though air conditioning didn’t seem to work well / at all for cooling, so it was uncomfortably hot at night (and this was January). Restaurant had good choice for breakfast & dinner (buffet), though food was not always very warm. On-site parking (we pre-booked) was easy & reasonably priced. Lounge bar had nightly entertainment (though didn’t begin until 9.30pm). Spa massage treatment was great, but does need to be booked a day or so ahead. Staff friendly & helpful.

Property was very clean, foyer and level nicely decorated and presented, room dated bathroom and bedroom could do with being refurbished. The level was not manned on a regular basis, tv in bedroom did not work no signal reported this to staff on numerous occassions. Food at lunch time in main menu always cold not a great variety to choose from either. The snacks on the level very basic not much to choose from. Entertainment very good, staff at main reception, bar and food staff very pleasant and helpful, found one member off staff on the level very unhelpful quite dismissive and could not get away from you quick enough. This is the third Melia hotel i have stayed in and would have to say it does not compare to the others.

Decent hotel however we came for a spa break. The spa is only open Wednesday-Sunday which we didn’t know. Also it closes at 2pm until 4pm. You are unable to use the spa facilities for the whole day which when you go out of season would have been nice considering the outside pools are not heated. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Dinner time was disappointing as was also a buffet and the food quality was not great. We ate out for dinner. Bar was nice however it was very cold throughout the days and nights with heating only going on one night in the bar. Staff however were lovely and room was good. Would look at staying somewhere else next time due to some of these reasons.

Zimmer:Klimaanlage und Heizung( in Anfang auch war nicht in Betrieb, musste rufen Techniker) sehr laut, Badezimmer richt nicht gut, gibt keine WC Bürste, gibt keine Hausschuhe, Fernsehen hat auch nicht funktioniert, musste zweimal errineren in Reception, dann endlich Techniker ist gekommen und alles erledigt (Juan Fernández) nett und kompetent , Mensch hat keine Lust so eine Hotel besuchen, Zimmer hellhörig, es tut mir sehr leid, dass ist Wahrheit

I booked this property as I was traveling alone for the first time and thought it would well located for shops etc. I can say I was not disappointed the hotel was fabulous, location could not have been better and as a lone traveller I felt totally safe and welcomed.

Disappointment in many ways
Nice lobby, but that was it. Rest of the hotel hopelessely needs renovation. Really bad sound/noise from street and hallway. Restaurant is crowded and with very little variation. Not even water is complimentary for fullboard. No vegan/vegetarian proteins made available. Pool area is situated inbetween the two hotel buildings, meaning the sun will set early afternoon. Pool water not heated, thus ice cold. No other activities available to kids. As an Amex Platinum I was upgraded to Gold member. However this was never noted during stay in any way. Gold members are not allowed in the lounge area, this is connected to room type. Overall a disappointment in many ways.
