「Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist etwas älter aber sauber. Als wir Handtücher nachgeordert haben, wurden diese zeitnah zur Verfügung gestellt. Die nähere Umgebung und der Ausblick vom Haus sind phänomenal. Wir würden das Haus erneut buchen.」

「We enjoyed how quiet the property and surrounding area was. Went for a nice long walk and took in the Bay. The Annex has everything you need, besides a tv, but the view from the windows makes up for that. Tea on the back patio in the evening helped us relax after a day of travel. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast in the main house with lively conversation with the owners. They helped us plan our next day of travel. 」

「We had a great stay, weather very mixed and appreciated Railway Cottage being warm and cosy. Oughterard was a great base foe exploring and provided all we needed - Sullivan's cinnamon buns are addictive! Thanks to Joe for info about the area and Carmel for the scones. We were made very welcome by hosts and their lovely dogs.」

「Was situated just right to be able to travel around and visit all the must see sites in Connemara. Road was busy at certain times but didnt distract from the peaceful area. Would definitely need a car, but plenty of parking at the house and free parking available at all visitor sites.」

We loved the country, rustic setting and took full advantage of the outdoor patio and late sunsets. We slept wonderfully in the comfortable bed and used the second room for our luggage. If you appreciate a historic and unique experience close to so many quaint communities, this place is for you!」

「We had a great time. The house is beautiful situated and with the sheeps and horses around and sometimes rabbits it is if you live in the middle of nature. Most of the things to do are max 1 hour drive from the house and when you drive in the surroundings the sceneries are beautiful. In the house there is a lot of space to sit down and relax (or watch tv, or just look outside the window from the couch in the kitchen and enjoy nature). 」

「Eight of us stayed in Jimmy's home as our base for climbing Croagh Patrick. The home was sited beautifully just outside of Westport and impeccably clean. There was space for eating outdoors, which was a must given how pretty the property is. Jimmy was a great host and timely answered all questions we had before the stay. If you're looking for a cozy, beautiful home in the Westport area, you cannot do better than this property. It won "best house" in our after-trip poll. 」

「Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

「This was a wonderful little getaway! Rory was super communicative and sent a wonderful list of things to do nearby! We checked out the pub he recommended Powers and it was phenomenal! The little barn was so cute and we felt right at home immediately. 」

「We want to live in this house. So comfy. Close to the action but not noisy. Provided with all the great amenities. 5 stars!」
