Good base/Country location. This detached former guest house has panoramic views of the Cors Caron Nature Reserve and over to the Cambrian Mountains. Close to the Ystwyth Trail, skirting Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which links Tregaron with Aberystwyth. It is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists. The property overlooks Cors Caron and the River Teifi, which is renowned for its salmon fishing. The property has fishing rights on the river. Explore the mountains, visit Strata Florida Abbey ruins. Visit the narrow gauge railway, historic castle and beach at Aberystwyth (16 miles) or Aberaeron with its picturesque harbour (17 miles). Visit the old market town of Machynlleth, with its Centre for Alternative Technology or Corris, with a craft centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. The historic market town of Tregaron (1 mile) has shops, pubs and restaurants.

A great place for a family / friends to get together.

A great place for a family / friends to get together. Everything is there to cook meals for a large group. We self catered for a group of 20 - quite easy with everybody helping out. Spacious but homely. Talbot Hotel just over 1 mile in Tregaron available for dining out or there are take outs from village Chinese and fish and chip shop. The village shop and butchers have a good range of goods. A good location for walking / cycling / sightseeing in a quiet rural area - cars needed. We had a great time - even the weather was kind.

We had a great time - even the weather was kind. We felt that the owners would have been very helpful if we had needed them to sort anything out - but we didn't! The standard of the property met what we have been experiencing now over 20 years of family holidays of this sort. Some properties catering for this number have two dish washers - but you cannot put one in where space does not exist - and we coped anyway.
