「We enjoyed the areas attractions and atmosphere. Biking, hiking and fishing are all nearby. The Elmaro winery is 10-15 minutes away and was a pleasant experience with great views of the vineyard. The lock and dam can be seen from the house and it provided occasional entertainment as the tugs pushed barges through the chamber.」

「beautiful house meet all of our needs for room. we had a little problem with ants in the guest bedroom. the biggest issue is the train that goes by all day and night about 100 yards from your window. the cherry was when they went from the north to the south, because there was 2 tracks on our side of the road, they blew their horn about 25,000 times. then the train on the other side of the river doing the same thing, it was dueling train horns.」

「We stayed in the Bear cabin which was very clean upon arrival and welcoming. The patio has a table and chairs outside which was very helpful as we forgot our camping chairs! Every interaction with the owners was very friendly and helpful. Grills look nice but could use a little TLC. Making sure they have a full tank and that they are working. 「We really enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The fishing was good. We relaxed watching the sun come up on the bay. We even enjoyed the sand beach, grilling out and a fire in the pit. The closed in porch made enjoying the bay possible on the rainy day. We had a very relaxing visit.」

「This place is where you'll want to stay if staying in La Crosse. It was very easy to find and wonderfully quiet at night. Any of the people I met using the marina were totally friendly and the use of a garage was awesome. Thank you so much for a great stay...We'll be back if in the La Crosse area. 「Our recent stay at the Cobblestone Cottage was great! It was exactly what we needed for 3 families for a weekend in La Crosse for my niece's high school graduation!
