“Heat didnt work, it was FREEZING. Contact didnt seem to be local, seemed like they were managing remotely and couldnt or wouldnt send anyone to help. Nor did they really seem to care. Beautiful area though!”

Ein herzensguter Vermieter, der uns sogar das Geld zurück gab für den einen Tag der früheren Abreise, die private Gründe hatte. Kleiner Mangel : im 2. Schlafraum kein Insektenschutz und Autobahn ist bei ungüstigem Wind zu hören. Aber das ist Jammer auf hohem Niveau. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub und haben uns ins Städtchen verliebt!……

It was nice to see the pictures in Vrbo reflected the exact mixture of old and new decor.It is close to the center of town, with the Piazza del Campo and Duomo a short walk away. Many ristorante and gelateria nearby.I was able to practice my Italian while communicating with Luigi. His responses were quick and informative. “Large apartment 4 floors above the town. Easy walking to anywhere in the area. Great shower and large bathroom. Equipped kitchen with big refrigerator. Living room with TV and dining table and couch. Large bedroom with fan. Also, there is a hairdryer and ironing board and iron. You are very close to walk to restaurants and stores, About a mile from the train station up a hill but the hostess helped us with transport.Overall, an excellent stay for my wife and I. “We selected Siena as our starting point for our hike on the via francigenia to Roma. This was a great property for us to acclimate to Italy. We had a bit of a walk to get down into the city but it was great to prep us for our long pilgrimage. We got see a Palio race and it was great time to be in Siena. The accommodations were spectacular. The weather was hot but the ceiling fans on high kept us cool at night and we slept well. Thanks for making our via francigenia starting point so wonderful. ”
