Tsuruga Holidays

Although the Hotel Intergate Kanazawa is in a busy part of town, the hotel itself is located in a quiet alley off the main drag. We found check in to be somewhat rushed and impersonal, as we were ushered immediately to a kiosk where it was required we check in electronically. Staff here seemed harried and did not offer the personal touch and care we received at our hotel in Tokyo. That being said, the hotel offers an incredible number of complimentary, excellent quality food and drink throughout the day. Perhaps this is the reason there were so many Western tourists staying here, some who seemed to take "advantage" of the free stuff. Perhaps that grasping attitude is the reason staff seemed a bit impatient with tourists. Our room, which was a superior twin, was large and well-appointed. We loved the separate toilet/shower rooms, and the sink outside those spaces. The "onsen" on the second floor is a great amenity! Overall, we loved our three -night stay here, but wished the staff had been more accommodating. Kanazawa is lovely, but we found it overrun with tourists when we visited around the third week in April (past sakura time). As with any popular tourist destination, one can find wonderful hidden gems that tourists don't know about. Look for those!

Two completely different breakfast experiences. The western buffet is mediocre at best, while the Japanese breakfast is a real experience.

Breakfast was initially wonderfully presented but if youre there for long theres no various choice. Other alternative was quiche which i wasnt fan

Basic accommodation, good location near train station, a Lawson convenience shop in the building, overall good quality hotel. I’d pass on the breakfast next time.
