「This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

「Very conveniently located. Just a few streps away from the JR Kure station, and a couple of blocks from the Yamato maritime museum, which can be accessed via a foot bridge. Hotel is showing signs of age but is well maintained and clean. Excellent front desk staff. Good lighting in the room. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor with excellent view of the city and the port. Hotel offers cute hand-drawn maps showing staff’s recommended restaurants, cafes, very cute. 」

「My friend and I stayed for 1 night at Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan in early November. We were very surprised by how much thought and effort was put into decorating this 100 year old house. It was truly an unforgettable experience staying there. Our host was like a cherry on top of the whole experience. Even though we could only communicate in broken Japanese, he prepared English instructions for us so communication was not a problem. When we checked out, he even gave us a handwritten note and two...
