You and your family will be surrounded by birds and wildlife with a woodstove to stay cozy and fire pit to roast marshmallows. Large deck with covered outdoor dining, grill and hammock to enjoy the breeze and views.

Bring your dogs! We have dog beds, bowls and toys waiting for them.

Bring the kids! We have a double bunk room with stuffed animals, puzzles, and books.

Bring the grandparents! The entire first floor living area and main bedroom with attached bathroom are accessible. This bathroom has grab bars and a step in shower. The deck is also wheel chair and walker accessible.

The views of the mountains and lake from inside the house and from the deck are spectacular! The host has provided everything you can possibly need or want - high quality amenities in the kitchen(including s'mores fixings for our grandchildren to enjoy around the fire pit), amazing 1st floor master suite(yes, mood lighting included), soaking tub, plush towels and the list goes on! The host responded to me in a timely manner when I had a question, needed to tell her that I had broken a plate or to inquire if we could extend our stay by 2 days( she even made the arrangements)!We will definitely be returning!!!!!

Such a wonderful cabin. Was more like staying at a friend’s cabin with the s’mores welcome kit, and everything you could ever need. Beautiful views, great deck, good proximity to WCU. The dogs loved it too. Very comfortable and relaxing. We will return! The fire pit with plenty of wood was awesome under the beautiful clear sky!

The cabin is secluded and up the mountain in a very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen has almost everything that you need from cookware, utensils, spices and other supplies like foil, plastic bags etc. The master bedroom is very comfortable and cozy with a quality mattress.

Wonderful getaway stay!

This home was cozy, beautiful view, wonderful deck and alloted beds for 8 people. The double bunk room is small but was workable as we just spread luggage out into the nearest next bedroom. The house was very well stocked and we lacked for nothing. The drive up to the house was a bit rugged but that is what gave us our wonderful view! As we were there for a wedding we didn't get to enjoy the home as much as we could have. There is a great square coffee table in the living area that made a great game table and we did put that to use several times. We never turned on the televisions so no idea how that worked. We were thankful for the internet as the minute we got away from the house wifi was not working anywhere in the mountains for us, so set up your GPS before you drive away. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Area.

We've purchased undeveloped property in the area and stayed here for easy access to work on it. Helen was very helpful and available and everything was clean and the description was accurate. We didn't have time to fish but this is a great area if you like to. The neighborhood was quiet and I'm sure that we were the most disruptive thing with our trips in and out.

Simply amazing

This cabin was better than we could have dreamed. It was easy to get too, not too steep of a drive and the view was wonderful. The cabin itself was furnished well and felt like home. The kitchen was well stocked which you don’t see often with rentals. The wood stove made it feel so warm and welcoming, we enjoyed using it. I don’t think I have rented a better cabin in the mountains than this one. They have everything you could need. It’s even better that we are allowed to bring our dogs. I would rent again and have more family come and enjoy.

Fantastic Mountain Home!!!

Such a beautiful home!!! Light and airy, large rooms, huge deck, and everything you could want is supplied!!! I cannot give enough accolades for this Mtn home! The view of the lake and mountains is beautiful, and it is so very convenient to stores, restaurants, and the highway. This will be our go-to home away from home when visiting my grand at WCU!

My Week above Bear Lake

A Blast, spending time with family I don’t get to see enough. Nice place great atmosphere. Location, location, location. Located in great area with bear lake below you and wolf lake a shot drive away. If you like to kayak on beautiful mountain lakes this is a great location.

Beautiful experience

We stayed in Tuckasegee to attend our daughter’s graduation from nursing school. The property was absolutely beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. The property was stocked with all the essentials and more. It is a beautiful place and we would love to visit again. Thank you for opening up your home to us. It was the perfect place to make some wonderful memories.
