The cottages were magical. We loved relaxing on the patio and watching the birds. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The landscaping is beautiful and the pool was perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast baskets.

What a beautiful setting! I sat outside with a spectacular view of the mountains drinking my coffee (coffee press provided in the cottage). Then I walked to see the friendly donkeys and dipped my feet in the cool, clean pool and sat on the private, shaded lounge chairs. The owner is easily accessible and responsive to all inquiries. I recommend ordering the delicious and fresh breakfast to be brought to your room. Transportation can be an issue, so it would be best to have your own car to get around. Otherwise they can get you in contact with a private driver.

We really enjoyed our stay of two nights. It's beautifull to relax, enjoy great food and wine, the starry sky in the hot-tub, the swimming pool and go for a walk. We can definitly recommend .

Great stay, with an amazing view to wake up in the morning or relax during the day/afternoon. 5 minutes from Tulbagh centre including a 2km gravel road which is in good condition. Quiet en relaxing. As seen in pictures

Wonderful two nights at Duikersdrift

We stayed in Cottage 2 and it was the most spectacular room we have ever stayed in! We refer to it now as the “perfect room”. I loved all the light and the glass wall that opened up for lovely fresh air. The grounds were beautiful and inviting. We walked around the Park Run, admired the olive and oak trees, and grape plants, and petted the donkeys. The hosts were terrific—warm and welcoming—and the breakfasts were extraordinary. We look for to visiting Duikersdrift again.

Beautiful and peaceful luxurious retreat

Each room on the very large property is its own small cottage, with a private patio overlooking the mountains. There is also a lovely private pool for the use of the 4 rooms. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The restaurant was good as well, and the hospitality from the host was superb. We would have stayed longer if their was availability. It was a much appreciated retreat into a peaceful countryside setting, close to multiple lovely wineries.

The best of Tulbagh

Situated in the heart of the winelands, on the edge of town of Tulbagh and surrounded by vineyards and olive plantations. A very comfortable large room with a beautiful view looking across vineyards and onto the mountains awaits you. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay special. The restaurant is wonderful and is accompanied by a charming deli. All your needs are catered for!
