For the rate of the hotel room it was about what was expected for the most part. Definitely very dated but the bathroom had an upgraded shower and granite counter tops with great water pressure! However, the shower head was so low that me (as an average height person) had to be on my knees or bend so far back so that my hair could get wet. The room also reeked of weed and old cigarettes as soon as you opened the door. I have since checked out of the room and my belongings and clothes still smell! Overall, I guess I got what I paid for but I would not stay here again simply because of the nauseating smell.

I checked in at 3am so I didn’t see the issues until the next day when I woke up. The walls in the room were absolutely filthy. The towels weren’t changed out from the previous person and had visibly been used with dirt or something brown on them. There was hair in the wash clothes. The curtains looked to be shredded. There was no cover on the wall outlet. The toilet was gross. There was make up on the pillow case. The mirror had toothpaste splatter on it. It looked like the only thing clean in. There was the trash liners were changed out and the floor was vacuumed. The bed was made. Of course when I first got there, but it was dark, so I didn’t see the stain on the pillowcase until the next day. That stain was not from me. I do not wear make up. The staff was nice. When I came to her about the problem. She did not change the bedding. She assured that the bedding is changed. Every time. The room is cleaned. She did give me a new towels, but she did expect me to bring down the dirty towels. I did not do that. She did end up, coming up to get them all staff that encountered at the front desk or nice. I will not stay there again due to it being so dirty and raggedy. I also have not received my $100 deposit back, which she said would go back in 24 hours. It’s been a week almost 2 weeks. I did take pictures of all of these things as well.

The staff were very polite, helpful, and courteous. The cleaning staff apparently perform very well as the room and common areas were neat and tidy. However, it seems the owners and maintenance staff haven’t been to the property in quite a while. We stayed at some Magnuson properties in Colorado that were considerably better maintained. I cannot recommend the Manguson Sand Springs location.
