"This was the first time I stayed at the Menger . It was very comfortable and right in the heart of the Alamo Plaza. The Alamo was a short walk across the street, shopping and fine dining all within a few minutes walk. The valet parking is a little expensive for me, but very convenient. They have a nice restaurant and bar downstairs, room service for the early morning breakfast in bed, and the first floor is like a little time capsule of this historic hotel. I'll come back in a future visit and stay a little longer "
