Loved our cabin and the privacy. We had lots of space and enjoyed watching the river and its clear water. The town was quaint and e enjoyed visiting our friends in the area. There are deer, jackrabbits and turkeys roaming wild all over. It was a treat to say the least! We enjoyed the Lost Maples Cafe and the Lunchbox inside the General Store

This was our first cabin getaway. My wife, two dogs, and myself were going to enjoy our very first hike @LostMaplesStateArea. Utopia itself, is a quaint and all around friendly town. The Utopia River Retreat went above and beyond our expectations. Amazing views of color changing foliage, and right by the Sibinal River. I will definitely be back and with y family too. AMAZING place to stay and short distances away are some great National Parks.

Had a great time at Utopia River Retreat

We will definitely go again. My extended family likes to go to the Frio River and we wanted to join them this year. We decided to stay in Utopia and really enjoyed it. The cabins were great and just what we wanted with a well stocked little kitchen so we could cook breakfast and lunch. Our kids liked the pool and we loved the quiet scenic beauty of this place. Great service too!

Basic Accommodations with a Pool

Our family enjoyed our stay at URR. Check in was easy and staff from very friendly. URR is close to all the attractions so it was an easy drive to get to Garner and Lost Maples. The kids really enjoyed the pool in the evenings to cool down. It was extremely hot so the AC didn't work so well in the cabin. The AC unit is on the opposite side of the cabin from the bedrooms so it took a while to cool for sleeping. Kitchen appliances are pretty used and could use a replacement. The shower was good but it had obviously been leaking for a while because the walls and flooring were soft. All in all, it was a nice family stay but probably try another place next time.

Great location, but we had a problem with ants in the kitchen upon check-in and the toilet would not stop running. The cabin and beds were comfortable and the pool was great.

Wonderful Weekend

The cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen and the restroom. Both rooms were well kept with king size beds. The area was also wonderful and only a short drive to Garner State Park.

Utopia River Retreat in Feb

My husband and I have stayed here 3 or 4 times. It is very affordable and the staff is very accommodating. The cabins are very clean. Have every thing you need and the beds are very comfortable. Got my best nights sleep in a long time. The view is amazing. We've only come during the colder months, but plan to make a trip this year during the summer to enjoy the river and relax outside in the sun. There is no onsite dining, but a grill and fully stocked kitchen. Just bring your food!

Beautiful and very peaceful

Staff was amazing. Location was secluded, beautiful and very peaceful. Cabins had everything we could possibly need. Deers were practically our neighbors every day. I will definitely book again and invite more family.

Great Little Getaway

If you're looking to escape from the busy, this is a great place to do it. The room was quaint, has all you need to prepare meals. The best part is the nature. Pretty walk to the river. It was low, tubing not really an option but you could float. We have a toddler so this spot is great. Quiet, everyone else there was very courteous and quiet. Pool is great. We saw lots of wildlife, deer, hawk and turkey.

Appreciated the warm welcome when we arrived. Loved that there were so many options to take advantage of on the property. Took advantage of the swimming pool, and games, and also the nearness of the river that opened up other plentiful options to stay entertained. Great property and very reasonable prices!

Utopia on the creek

The reason we booked this location was because it was on the river. Not what we were expecting. No swimming access so we had to drive 30 minutes away. There was a plumbing issue with the tub but was very pleased with the hospitality. Breakfast was delicious!

Perfect family getaway

This was a beautiful bed and breakfast with amazing view and even river access! My husband and I went with our 3 children and we all absolutely loved it. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic find! Totally enjoyed our stay. I was with my grand daughter and we snorkeled in the river and had a grand time. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Had a very enjoyable time. Already planning another trip here.
