「We told the host we would arrive after 6pm  in Nov and she was there greeting us as soon as we arrived. We liked the kitchen which got all the cooking wares but not sure if there is cooking oil or seasonings. The electric stove was slow to turn on. 「Staying with Joe felt like staying with family in the nicest way. Communication was clear and friendly, everything was taken care of, and the room itself is exactly as listed. Joe was so lovely and warm, even invited me up for a drink and a chat. When he discovered I was a musician he was more than happy to lend me his guitar for the duration of the stay. This is the perfect home base to go out and explore the city from. Would 100% stay again.」

「The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

「The cottage is lovely and the owner was very personable. Our only disappointment was the breakfast provisions. We thought if we had been tourists staying in the Huon we would have expected some lovely local produce. Instead it was just Coles brand items. 「The house is in a quiet street on the high side of the road (steep driveway). All bedrooms and living areas are on the second floor. Spacious holiday home with two living areas, the kitchen/dining/living area has great views onto the river. We found a well stocked kitchen on arrival. Fresh bread, milk, cookies, apples and some lollies were a lovely surprise. A big Woolies/Coles is approx 5 mins drive away, and it's only about a 15-20min drive into Hobart.」
