There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

Isolation at its best!

If you're looking for an isolated getaway, then this is for you. The Eagle's Nest sits off on a secluded ridge looking out over the Bosque River valley offering complete privacy. The house is brand new and extremely nice. Everything was clean, well designed, and we didn't go without anything. We're in this area alot, and I'm here to say that there isn't a better option available than the Eagle's Nest! The hosts are also incredible!
