Lovely and relaxing house

Lovely and relaxing house on the outskirts of Valverde. Perfect for those who want to decompress in quiet. Amazing view, pool, and garden to spend the mornings or late afternoons - it is a residential area, so respect for the siesta (2-4pm) is requested. Also enjoyed the lemon tree to make Italian seltzer. House had plenty of room to spread out or bring guests. Easy drive to Aci Castello and Acitrezza. Host was wonderful - hope we have the chance to come back!

Celebrating two Birthdays

A perfect house for a big family with children and grandchildren. A lot of space and bedrooms and bathrooms. You can be together and also get some privacy. The house and the garden are beautiful and clean. The pool is nice and the sunrice in the morning over the sea is stunning.

A beautiful large property which although does not have air conditioning throughout stays lovely and cool inside If you are going you will probably find a beautiful fresh fruit selection, and all of the basics and more for the kitchen eg olive oil balsamic vinegar, garlic, tea coffee, herbs and more Patrizio is very friendly and easy to contact if needed

What a view!!!!

We enjoyed this house so much especially the view!! You can’t go wrong by renting this property even in the winter months. My grandkids loved making lemonade with the fresh lemons off the tree. Twelve of us fit perfectly and the extra bathrooms were a hit with all the teen girls! Thank you so much for sharing your house and making our vacation a wonderful experience! ❤️

June 2022 villa Valverde

The whole rental process was very easy, and the property was extremely spacious and well equipped for the duration of our stay. The pool was an absolute godsend. The location is off the beaten track, and in quite a basic area. Catania in hindsight was not the best location, but that does not detract from the villa being a lovely base. The building is looking a little tired, but is still very serviceable, and we as a family enjoyed our stay there. Communication with the host was very easy, and responsive.

Schönes Haus mit Meerblick

Modernes und helles Haus mit tollem Blick für 10 Personen. Garten und Pool sind klein, aber völlig ausreichend zum Entspannen. Rund um das Haus gibt es wenig zu sehen, Auto notwendig. Innerhalb von 30-60 Minuten kann man tolle Ziele erreichen.

Great holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Valverde. The house is very well located for Catania, Mount Etna and touring local towns and seaside villages. It is very spacious and was ideal for our extended family of parents, grandparents, 3x daughters (10, 8, 2 years old) and nanny. Our kids particularly enjoyed the pool and nearby pizzeria (only 2 minutes walk…) and the adults loved the garden terrace with great views towards the sea. Patrizio was a very generous, responsive and helpful host. On the first day he took our parents on a tour of the local area to show them the best routes and his recommended fruit & veg seller and fishmonger. Well beyond the call of duty! The only things we would highlight that are not apparent from the online description are: (1) some of the local access roads are very steep and narrow and not for the faint hearted (be careful with sat NAV directions which don’t always recommend the easiest roads!) and (2) while the house is very clean and relatively modern, some of the decor and furniture are not quite as new or pristine as the online photos would suggest (showing a bit of normal wear and tear since the photos were taken!). However neither of these issues is major and we would be happy to recommend the villa to anyone. Thanks Patrizio!

Enkele aandachtspunten: er zijn 5 badkamers in de woning maar deze sluiten niet aan de slaapkamers wat spijtig is. Qua tuinmeubilair is het mimimaal. Er zijn zelfs geen ligzetels voor iedereen. Keuken is ook mimimaal uitgerust (slecth 9 diepe borden bv). Verder is de zonneluifel veel te kort wat maakt dat je s ochtends niet buiten kan eten door de hitte, en s'avonds is er schaduw over ganse tuin en zwembad. Spijtig. Positieve zijn de maaltijden klaargemaakt en geleverd door Donantella , hemels en zeer goed. Ook waren er voldoende badhanddoeken aanwezig en is de ligging van de villa OK. Je kan wel alleen de oostkant van het eiland doen, al de rest ligt wat te ver weg...

VILLA TRES AGREABLE

La villa correspond au descriptif de l'annonce. Elle est très confortable pour un séjour en famille. Patrizio et son épouse sont charmants et nous avons eu des repas siciliens excellents. Points à améliorer : le séchoir mis à disposition est petit (surtout pour 14 personnes) les cafetières sont très petites revoir le système (horaire) de l'arrosage automatique Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en Sicile.

Très jolie villa

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette villa qui comprend tous les équipements et l’espace nécessaire pour douze personnes. Nous regrettons toutefois de ne pas avoir été informés plus tôt du voisinage proche et des contraintes relatives au bruit (absence de bruit exterieur entre 14h et 16h30 puis à partir de 22h).

Très belle maison

Accueil très chaleureux de Patricio. Il nous avait fait des courses car nous sommes arrivés samedi soir tard. Le gâteau au citron une merveille. Merci. La maison est agréable à vivre : beaucoup d'espace. Attention robinetterie un peu veillote dans certaines salles de bain. Très beau séjour.

Just perfect

Our stay was just perfect, the house was surprisingly big and tidy and the owner was great! We really enjoyed our stay and i would recommend this property for groups, big family's or just anyone looking for a nice holiday. I would recommend a rental car as there is not easy to get a taxi and they are expensive.

Family reunion

The villa was ideal for our special family reunion from various parts of the world. It was spacious & well appointed. We could spread the family around the house. We advised the owner that one toilet on the middle floor was not working. It was not warm enough to swim but am sure it would be great in summer. The view was wonderful but be prepared for narrow streets if you are driving to the villa. A most enjoyable stay.

Large lovely Villa

It was a lovely large villa with lovely views. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The children loved the pool. We enjoyed relaxing on the various balconies. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves. There was a lovely Pizzeria just a few yards up the road. We all had a very enjoyable stay.

Casa perfecta para visitar esta zona de Sicilia, Etna incluído, cerca del aeropuerto y de las ciudades más importantes. Patrizio atento a cualquier problemilla que pudiera surgir estuvo muy amable.Limpia ,amplia, nosotros éramos 8 personas.Con excelentes vistas....la verdad es que la relación calidad precio en mi opinión ,es muy buena.

VILLA AGREABLE POUR UN SEJOUR ENTRE AMIS

La maison correspondait à nos attentes, une vue magnifique sur la mer. L' autoroute est tout près, ce qui permet de visiter l'est de la sicile très facilement. Taormina, Syracuse, Ragusa, Modica, Catania, l'Etna..... Seuls petits bémols : nous avions retenus un repas pour le soir, car nous n'avions pas envie de faire à dîner après une grosse journée de transport, et nous ne l'avons pas eu.... heureusement que nous avions fait nos courses avant d'arriver à la villa. Second bémol : deux chambres du second étage ont leurs salles de bains privatives au rez de chaussée!!! un peu compliqué pour des personnes agées. Sinon, maison équipée mais manque une cafetière française... car quand on est 8 ou 10 personnes : faire le café dans une cafetière italienne, c'est un peu long mais bon, on est en vacances....

The villa is exactly how it appears in the pictures. It is hugely spacious (we had a group of ten and had plenty of room for us all). The villa is well kept and the view down the hill to the sea is stunning. The location is lovely, it’s not touristy at all. A car is definitely needed as there are not any public transport links nearby. Overall could not have been happier with the stay and will definitely be coming back again.

Familienurlaub : ein tolles Haus für drei Familien, weil es ausreichend Platz bietet, hell möbliert ist und Patrizio sich gut kümmert. Wir haben Essen für 14 Personen bestellt, das typisch sizilianisch und sehr lecker war! Die Aussicht von der Terasse ist toll, leider wurden wir mehrfach aufgefordert, draußen keinen Lärm zu machen, weil es die Nachbarn stört, das trübt die Freude am Pool.

Beautiful villa, perfect for a family holiday

This villa was perfect for our family holiday, lit was well equipped, had lots of space and was very clean. The location was ideal for day trips to Mount Etna, Taormina, Syracuse and Savoca (a must if you stay here). There is parking at the villa. We hired 3 cars however the parking was extremely tight on the entrance driveway - there is room outside the property but the security would be compromised; the rental of small cars is our advice. Patrizio and his family who look after the villa were very helpful and I recommend the food cooked by Patrizio's wife (we did on two of our seven evenings here) it was delicious. As it was my husband's special birthday we asked for a cake to be baked by Patrizio's wife, it was beautifully presented and delicious, enjoyed by the whole family. All in all this was a great holiday and I highly recommend this beautiful and very spacious villa.

Villa met zwembad in perfecte staat! Werkelijk alles wat nodig is voor 10 personen en drie kleine kinderen was aanwezig. Bedden en beddengoed, handdoeken en badlakens in ruime mate aanwezig. Uitsteken functionerende wifi. Een aanrader!!!

Ridden hard and put away wet

There is much to love about this property -- big enough for our group of 9, friendly property manager, and nice views. This is the first time I have ever given anything but 5 stars, so I’ll be specific about why we were disappointed. Upon arrival here is what we observed: -Patrizio, the manager, was very nice and met us at the villa. There was a bowl of fresh fruit as a welcome gift. -Lights over bathroom mirrors in 4/5 bathrooms didn't work -Mold/ mildew in showers -Both showers on the 2nd floor didn’t drain. Patrizio was responsive when we asked for help to unclog the showers -One shower had very light water pressure and took 5 minutes to warm up. -Half used bottles of lotion and bath products left by past guests -Half used rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms, and no extra toilet paper -No bar soap or shower amenities -Hairdryer sticky, doesn't work in most outlets -Air conditioning units were only in certain rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor; none of them worked -No air conditioning on first floor -Kitchen stovetop was small; one burner broken. -One overhead light in kitchen broken -Leftover food from past guests in kitchen cupboards (jars of half-used capers, sticky containers of salt, sugar, spices, etc.) -No dish washing liquid -Desk broken and drawers full of random hardware and trash -Light switches browned with dirt -Furniture covered with ratty covers and tables covered with sticky plastic covers (not pictured in online pics) -Used tea light candles in candle holders -Art in one bedroom fallen sideways inside the frame, in another room a painting is missing -Dusty artificial plant decorations. No real plants indoors. -Many of the outlets not updated and couldn't use without adapter -Layout: there are 4 bedrooms on the 3rd floor, but only 1 bathroom. -Too hot if you close windows (no AC) but if you open the mosquitoes get in. Screens needed. -Restaurant within 50 meters has good pizza. Sometimes they play loud music until 12pm. -Three large decks with sea views. Two lack furniture. My husband and I spent two days cleaning and prepping for our guests. We bought toilet paper, table cloths, flowers, bathroom amenities, dish soap, hair dryers, tea light candles, laundry detergent, adapters, etc. I’m sure this property was gorgeous in its heyday, but it needs renovation. The highlights of our trip were Taormina and Ortigia. If I could do it again, I would find a place to stay in the countryside near Modica.
