Mixed Bag
The hotel is nice & well-located next to ferry & old town. However, the pictures suggested it was more of a resort with a beach, et al... That was a surprise but the biggest disappointment was that the two suites we reserved were given away & 8 of us had to stay in three smaller rooms (& certainly not ideal for us to be so separated. That aside, its a fair value, nice pool & breakfast.

Staff was amazing. Very helpful when looking for activities to do and booking transportation. Had a great breakfast buffet every morning included with stay. Walking distance from town where there were other good restaurants.

Probably the best place to stay in Vela Luka. Staff are kind and attentive, but given that Vela Luka is a small island village, keep your expectations realistic for what the 4 stars mean in that sort of place.

Bad customer service from management
Bad customer service from hotel's management. Our family (1 child + 2 adults) booked a non-smoking family room. The first room offered had been used for smoking by a recent guest so our daughter (nor us / parents) could stay in the room. The hotel agreed to move us to a standard room for one day, with healthy air, but the hotel could not offer a new family room for our 8 days stay. We therefore asked the hotel via hotels.com for a refund for following next 7 days, so we could find a new hotel with family size ourselves. The hotel rejected to refund - and we were not allowed to speak with the management, who communicated only via the reception which and no authority. We therefore felt like hostages in the standard (small) room with no direct bargaining power as our payment was settled via hotels.com prior to our arrival. Hotels.com has not (yet) offered any compensation either - which I would expect from such a professional 3rd party hotel agent. Regards, Dagfinn

Dear Mr Bjoerlo, We are very sorry to hear you and your family have not enjoyed your stay in the Korkyra hotel. Also, apologies for not replying sooner. We took some time to investigate the situation regarding your accommodation in more detail According to our records, you booked and were originally accommodated in a family room, from which you requested to be moved to a room with a balcony, due to smell. Our reception staff explained our family rooms do not have balconies and offered a standard double room with a balcony. Also, no other family room was available at the time of your stay. To compensate for the inconvenience, a complementary half-board service (dinner) during your stay was offered. As you were originally assigned the booked room (family room) and since no other family room was available at the time, there was nothing more our staff or management could have done. Therefore, our staff acted within their authority and with sincere desire to resolve the matter at your satisfaction. In this sense, the direct involvement of our management was nor required as the only available option (relocation to an available room) was offered and accepted by our side. Also, in such cases we are not able to approve or offer a refund. We regret that you felt like hostages in your room. This is definitely not the type of experience we wish to provide. Guests’ satisfaction is our top priority, and we are investing all our efforts into creating a setting that completely fulfils their requirements. We understand that you might feel disappointed and dissatisfied, however we believe there are no objective grounds for this as our staff did everything possible to meet your requirements. We hope you will take our account into consideration and that we will have another chance to improve your impression of our hotel and services. Kindest regards

Hôtel agréable, avec de jolies chambres. La nôtre semblait toutefois sentir un peu la cigarette. Le petit déjeuner est basique mais avec la possibilité de commander des plats en plus du buffet le rend sympathique. Le prix de la nuit est toutefois très élevé au regard des prestations.

Très bon hôtel
Le petit déjeuner était excellent et le personnel s'est montré très aimable et serviable. La chambre était assez confortable mais la vue sur la piscine (vide car hors saison) est un peu décevante malgré un petit balcon.

Very far from the Dubrovnik airport, nearly 4 hrs
Steam room does not work fountain in the pool does not work you have to tell the staff twenty minutes before if you want to use the sauna not enough cushions for the sunbed. Probably ten in all. Hotel recommends to use two towels instead. Food is very basic and no choice for vegetarians No point writing a review in the customer review book in the lobby as we saw them tear the pages for bad reviews. Toilet paper is not automatically replaced.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location
Really welcoming staff from the off and the hotel is superbly clean with very modern comfortable rooms. The little gym is also sufficient for a quick workout. The views from the terrace are excellent. Great location in the centre of Vela Luka with a complimentary boat taxi over to the beach. Our children loved the hotel pool though. A huge choice of food in the half board option and the staff were really polite and helpful. Only slight downside was the price of wine, same bottle was circa 50% more than places right next door and hence the bar was rather empty in the evening.

Hotel Korkyra ima dobar potencijal i veoma ljubazno osoblje, ali mnogo stvari ne funkcionira na nivou 4 zvjezdice. Soba je lijepa, dizajnerski zanimljivo osmišljena, međutim, madrac je star i pomalo kvrgav i odavno je trebao biti zamijenjen. U obnovljenom hotelu ove razine i cijene, kao minimum očekujem udoban krevet. Također, klima je dosta bučna, a poplun(čić) s kojim bi se gost trebao po noći pokriti zaista nije dovoljno debeo za hladne zimske noći. Radijator u kupatilu uključuju samo po ekstremnim hladnoćama, tako da nije baš previše ugodno za tuširanje. Finska sauna u maloj spa zoni nije se mogla ugrijati na više od 57 stupnjeva, a parna kupelj je bila izvan funkcije. Cijene u baru su izuzetno visoke i prikladnije luksuznijim hotelima u Zagrebu, Dubrovniku ili Opatiji. Možda su neke stvari u visokoj sezoni bolje, ipak je u vrijeme našeg boravka u hotelu bilo ukupno svega nekoliko gostiju. Ipak, cijelu situaciju za nas je izvuklo simpatično osoblje i predivna Korčula, pa nam je boravak svejedno ostao u veoma lijepom sjećanju.

L'hôtel recevait un groupe d'une agence de voyage de 80 personnes. Toutes les équipes de l'hôtel étaient mobilisées par ce groupe notamment lors des repas. Ce groupe était très bruyant et il était impossible de prendre un dîner au calme ! Ce n'est pas le service attendu pour cette catégorie d'établissement. Il ne faut pas négliger les clients individuels. Hôtel à déconseiller si des groupes importants sont présents. Personnel serviable et chambre impeccable.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, food was delicious. Check in and check out has passed smoothely and really quick. Hotel location is great, close to everything (restaurants, shops, beach, even a short walk from ferry so no transfer is needed).

Bra service och ständigt närvarande personal i receptionen. Plus för att hotellet även ombesörjde biluthyrning på plats med framkörning och gratis parkering. Det hotellet behöver bli bättre på om man vill behålla gästerna på hotellet även vid middagarna är att skapa en meny för barnen. Maten är bra för övrigt men är av mer "vuxen" karaktär något barn inte alltid uppskattar.

Formidable surprise que ce séjour au Korkyra hôtel. Personnel aux petits soins toujours a l'écoute et prêt à rendre service (mention spéciale à Domijez). Chambre spacieuse, lumineuse et d'une grande propreté. Nous étions en demi-pension et nous sommes régalés durant notre séjour de 5 nuits. Grande variété de plats, excellentes crudités et soupes maison. Buffet de petits-déjeuners succulents. Nous recommandons vivement pour découvrir cette île attachante aux baies paradisiaques.

Hotelli oli siisti, viihtyisä ja rauhallinen. Vastaanotosta sai ilmaiseksi lippuja taksiveneisiin, joilla pääsi kätevästi lahden toisella puolella olevalle rannalle sekä sukelluskeskukselle. Ravintolat, kaupat ynnä muut ovat kaikki kävelymatkan päässä. Henkilökunta oli pääosin ystävällistä. Aamiainen monipuolinen ja kattava. Hotelliin oli hiljattain asennettu Wifi myös huoneisiin - melko hidas mutta toimiva. Lisäksi yläkerroksessa oli asukkaiden käytössä myös kuntosali ja sisäpihalla uima-allas.

This hotel is just OK...I wouldn't rank it a 4*. The bathroom has glass walls and doors so you don't get any privacy and all is on display except for the blinds they have on some of the shower walls. The pillows/bedding is not very comfortable and they don't have extras stored away in the closets. Some of the power outlets dont work and neither does the mini fridge. The included breakfast gets a passing grade but it isn't the greatest. On the plus side the hotel is in a good location close to the beach and restaurants.

Internet only in lobby
Located in Vela Luka, there is nothing to do here. It was a long drive from the ferry port to Orebic...about 25 miles. We couldn't watch Netflix in our room, since they weirdly only have wifi in the lobby. The bed was one of the strange two-beds-pushed-together, and the bathroom was visible from the bedroom. Don't know what the attraction is in having your partner able to watch you go to the bathroom. Breakfast was cold cuts and cheese, with cereal and a menu to order eggs/crepes. Wouldn't stay here again.

El hotel está realmente bien. Instalaciones perfectas y servicio muy bueno. La cena muy buena. No pudimos ver la playa porque nos hizo mal tiempo pero el puerto de enfrente muy bonito.
