Der Gastgeber informierte uns jedoch, dass es eine Fehlinformation seitens Expedia sei. Das war auch in Ordnung für uns, es war zwar sehr warm aber mit offenen Fenstern ging es irgendwie. "Das Gute vorweg. Der Anbieter hat auf Bewertungen reagiert und versucht den Zugang zur Wohnung mit Bildern zu beschreiben. Trotzdem ist sie garnicht so einfach zu finden. Wenn man echtes italienisches Ambiente sucht wird man hier fündig. Blevio ist sehr verwinkelt und man muss sich auf mindestens 400m Gepäckschleppen einstellen (wobei das in der Anzeige auch so beschrieben wird). "It was certainly a beautiful hotel. It needs to be renovated. I was told that this winter they are closing down for a massive renovation project adding a lift and bringing the hotel up to par. The staff were excellent. The pool was divine, as was the general out door area and the bar was elegant but fun. Looking forwards to trying the renovated version. If travelling to see lake Como, it is a fair distance and generally a car is needed."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."

"Nice hotel, booked a suite for 1 night on the way to locarno, very nice room & wish i had booked for longer to take in varese more but i know now for next time. Very good breakfast & we made use of the nice swimming pool before leaving, my great granddaughter loved it & said the room was VIP with 2 balconies & 2 bedrooms so that made us laugh. Would stay again & an easy drive from malpensa."
