Lovely house a short drive from central AIX en Provence

We stayed in the house for 2 weeks this summer. We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged under 10. We loved our stay. The house is secure and the grounds are larger than the pictures suggest. The pool are is gated, and well maintained. The house is very well catered for children with lots of games available. The house is also well situated with a supermarket 1 mile away and it only being a 10 min drive to central AIX-en-Provence. The check was well communicated and easy. We highly recommend.

Family holiday

Do not worry about the review by Paul from Copenhagen in July 2023. I'm sure that was his experience, but I suspect it was indeed a one off, as ours was very different. The property was very clean throughout, and entirely lived up to the description. We had a great stay there. Our only minor suggestions for improvement would be (a) the directions for finding the property were not clear and could be improved (also, the documents gave multiple addresses) and (b) there were not enough wine glasses!

Spacious farmhouse property in a great location

Lovely, very reasonably priced rural farmhouse property in a stunning setting, with shops nearby in Venelles and also close to Aix. Property very clean with great swimming pool. However, fixtures and bedding, towels etc. are old and shabby and could do with updating. New, clean kitchen cloths, oven gloves etc. rather than the well used/grimy ones left for us would have also helped with the overall impression of the property. Severine the cleaner was great, but an information book on the house and how everything works and also about local facilities would have been useful. Booking/payment system through Vrbo far more complicated than through other accommodation booking websites.

Dirty, dilapidated, downtrodden and misused

Dirty, dilapidated, downtrodden and misused are adjectives that come to mind when we try to describe the house and its overall condition. The location is nice, but the house, furniture and pool needs a deep clean and reconditioning in order to reflect the owner's advertisement. We we arrived the house was nowhere close to be cleaned and everything in the kitchen was filthy and greasy. Used pots and pans had just been put into the cabinet without washing by the previous tennant. The oven was discusting and the refrigerator smelled like rotten fish. We had to wash everything before using it. The terasse door was broken and could not be opened. One bathroom smelled moldy and unhealthy. In general the house's sanitation smelled as if the septic tank had not been emptied for a very long time. The pool had green algy around the waterline and we found cigarette buds around the pool area. All in all, we got a very negative customer experience and even more negative experience when we communicated our concerns to Sabine at the rental management firm. Not a property we can recommend in any way...!

Villa provençale typique, très agréable et parfaite pour un chien aimant sa liberté. La piscine n’a pas pu être utilisée car eau trop fraîche à notre goût. Situation idéale pour visiter le sud de la Provence. Par contre, le ménage n’était pas parfait : poussière sur les meubles, toiles d’araignées sur lustres… Nous sommes habitués à des locations avec Abritel et à chaque fois nous avions eu un cadeau d’arrivée, composé de produits locaux, fort apprécié : un plus qui fait la différence.

5 ehemalige Studienkollegen fanden eine Campagne, die keine Wünsche offenliess. Die Villa mit grosszügiger Umgebung und einer super Pool Anlage, vollständig ausgerüstet bietet einfach (fast) alles. Das fast bezieht sich auf die Sport/Spielgeräte, welche in einem desolaten Zustand sind.

Schwierige Zimmeraufteilung - sehr schöner Pool

Sehr schöner Pool, großes ruhiges Grundstück. Im unteren Stock kann es sein, dass man kalt duschen muss, oben kommt immer warmes Wasser. Zwei Schlafzimmer sind als Durchgangszimmer (mit Treppe) zum gefangenen Einzelzimmer konzipiert, das ist ungeschickt. Das Haus war sehr sauber, das Geschirr leider nicht. Großer Tisch, um immer draußen Essen zu können, ist vorhanden. Die (im Juni) blühende Linde ist hierbei Fluch (Insekten, Dreck) und Segen (Schatten) zugleich. Trotz großer Hitze war es im Haus immer angenehm kühl.

très bonnes vacances

Nous étions un groupe de 9 personnes de 3 à 50 ans. Tout le monde a bien apprécié la propriété qui nous a semblé plus grande que sur les photos. La maison reste bien fraîche, ce qui est vraiment très agréable. Le terrain est immense! La piscine était idéale pour nous tous. Nous avons apprécié prendre le petit-déjeuner sur la terrasse ou près de la piscine. Endroit très calme. Voisin absolument charmant!
