Great house, but smelled like cigarette smoke
This is a beautiful property, nicely decorated and with gorgeous landscaping. We enjoyed the porch a lot, and it even had retractable screens, which were super cool! It really has a lot going for it. Unfortunately, there was a very noticeable smell of cigarette smoke in the house. We bought air fresheners for every room, and that helped make it less noticeable while we were inside the home. It was concerning when I started to smell it on beach towels and my own clothing when we were visiting my sister and parents. Once we had checked out and moved on to the next part of our trip, it became obvious that ALL of our clothing smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I've done a ton of laundry since we've been back home, but even after airing outside for two days, our pillows still smell. It's super unfortunate because we really liked the house! And since the Vacasa GM apparently doesn't smell the smoke at all, I don't have high hopes for the root cause to be identified and corrected, so we won't be back :(
