James. Thank you for your comments. Sorry to hear that you found it hard to get food. I will look into this. We offer a bespoke service regarding times for meals which can be booked in advance to suit guests. As you suggest, there are supply chain issues at the moment. We endeavour to source locally grown produce which means there will not be an extensive menu but the choices will be fresh and local dishes. Glad to hear you enjoyed the tranquility.

However, I wanted to reach out and apologise for the experience that you had with the food and our team. This is not typical of our service and I can assure you that it will be looked into so that it does not happen again. We strive to ensure that our food is wholesome and tasty; and our staff are helpful and friendly at all times. One of the features of our location is that although it is away from the hustle and bustle of St. George’s, there is so much to explore close by, including a local beach, as well as the Nutmeg and Chocolate factories, hikes and waterfalls. I am sorry, if you were not aware of this and hope you will give us another chance to come back and explore the local area.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found the early morning call from the peacocks a challenge. It is mating season at the moment so they are unusually noisy and it is not customary for them to make such much noise. As the flock has increased during the past year, we are looking to re-home some of them to reduce the noise in future. As you will see from other reviews your experience is quite atypical, and the working plantation experience off the beaten track is usually very much enjoyed. The Plantation House dates back to 1763 and is very traditional in décor and aspect. We continue to renovate and maintain its character while making it comfortable. The Nutmeg Rooms were only restored just over two years ago and are more contemporary in charm with the original furniture and high vault ceilings to keep them cool and airy. Wishing you well in your future travels and our apologies once more that the plantation did not meet your expectations.
