When we arrived, we were told they overbooked our room and we were in a regular villa, not a premium 3 bedroom. The units were not updated. We ended up in a four bedroom, which was nice, but the pictures on the website are deceiving because each villa is unique to what the owner has done as far as renovations.

The “villa” we had rented was more like a run down and dirty 70’s condo. Nice view but facing the highway :( The staff was very unhelpful and didn’t even both picking up the main reception phone. Never sent cleaning crew after we asked. There were not seats available at the pool or “lagoon”. It is more of a resort for families with little kids than teenagers. Very disappointing given the high price.

Villa had a great few; toilets don’t flush well; handle on showered were backwards. Never came to clean at all during 5 day stay; had to text number to get anything needed; resort was understaffed; did two fishing charters and caught fish, nothing to bring home; rented paddle boards off site bc ones on site can only used in small area. Pools and hot tubs close at sunset which was a bummer we always live night swimming; golf cart was fun to rent a drive around looking at houses; no where to eat on island besides resort. Have to drive at least 20mins in either directions to get anything so if you like a variety of restaurants or happy hours this is not the place. Front desk is very understaffed; the line was always so long. Lots of people complaining about charges that weren’t theirs. We had it also happen to use. We avoided charging anything to the room bc if it.

Resort is lovely. Food is expensive. “Premium” villas are subpar for $1000 a night over the holiday. Paid for 3 bedroom that was supposed to have per our reservation 1 king and 3 queen beds plus pull out. Received a room with one true bedroom with a king bed, 2 closet size rooms one with a hard queen bed, and 1 room with no closet, laundry in it, no dresser and two twin beds. No where for our kids to sleep because I can’t sleep in the middle of the living room on Christmas. Had to sleep on the floor, management brought broken air matress after them sleeping on the floor first night. That deflated middle of night. They gave us a discount after complaints but it was still not what we paid for and stressful for all. Beautiful pool and other grounds. Would probably try a hotel room if we went back.

The 3-bedroom premium villa with pool was absolutely amazing!! Lots of space for the kids to spread out and the pool was small but very nice and warm. The resort main areas are beautiful and the staff was all very helpful. My only complaint would be that they collect a $200 per night hold for incidentals, and then during my stay they also charged my card another $204 and $747 and when I asked why they said it was also for incidentals and it would be back in my account in 3-5 days. That’s a pretty stiff “hold”, if you ask me.

Plain and simple unprepared and unmotivated staff and service. Particularly food and beverage. No one working at the resort cared one bit about any guest staying there. I appreciate the new resort manager listening to my concerns. The list of issues was endless, but what was particularly sad was drunk pool goers going into the $350 Thanksgiving buffet and bringing back plates of food to the pool area.

The resort must have been in the off season, as we mostly had the pools to ourselves some days, which was a beautiful experience! The villa was fresh and spotless and the staff at the resort were friendly and attentive! This is why we come back every year!

We booked one of the villas, the property was in very bad condition, bad smell, broken cabinets in the kitchen, dirty carpet… we went to the front desk to request a change and the person there processed a change for us from one of the villas to a room at the hotel. He mentioned we needed to pay at that time and contact Expedia to let them know about the change and request a refund. He also mentioned the process was very simple, and Expedia just needed to confirm with them and the refund will be processed right away without hassle. It happened at the end of Sept and we are still waiting for the refund. Every time Expedia reach out to the property no one answer and the refund is cancelled. We ended paying for two bookings, one at the hotel and another one to Expedia and none of them are refunding the original booking. It was a very bad experience in general and we definitely are not going back. The property is not recommended for bad staff work and property condition.
