Joyful in La Joya

Friendly staff, exceptionally clean hostal. For budget travelers looking to find a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay I highly recommend La Joya. The front desk staff speak English and Spanish. My stay included breakfast and it was well worth the additional fee. I also ate in the attached restaurant one evening and the portion was enormous and the food was delicious. There was a rooftop balcony that works well if you are a remote worker or just want to relax and meet fellow travelers at the end of the day. The rooftop balcony is spacious, spotlessly, clean, and has lovely views of the city.

Trendy, stylish and clean hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, good kitchen and excellent rooms and bathrooms. Not in the nicest part of town, but close to the bus station and supermarket.

I totally recommend!

The place is pretty nice, very well located and close to the bus station, supermarkets, drugstores, metro and bus stops - in case you need to go further than the main area. It has nice restaurant with delicious food for a good price. Room was clean, spacious and lit, furniture was new, but acoustics is not that good since you can hear what people say next door and it bothers a bit if you need a rest. Staff is amazingly kind and helpful.. all of them!

Rude staff and extra charges

Room was comfortable and the kitchen was okay for cooking basic meals. It was quite far out of the centre of town but close to the bus station and the bus to vina Del mar. Staff were rude and charged us more than we should have been charged as they added on a tax that was not applicable to us and then said they were unable to refund us. We specifically asked about payment methods to make sure we were not charged extra and were told if we paid on card we would not be charged this tax, we were then told that paying on card was the reason we could not receive a refund. Staff were rude and unhelpful throughout our stay.

Experiência decepcionante e banho frio

Experiência muito decepcionante. O hostel era muito sujo, chão super empoeirado e molhado, espelhos muito sujos e pelos pubianos até no teto do banheiro. Além disso, em 4 dias no hostel, não consegui tomar nenhum banho quente. Embora os atendentes fossem muito atenciosos, nunca conseguiam resolver o problema e só diziam para esperar/tentar de novo, o que nunca adiantava. A localização é um ponto fraco também. Longe das principais atrações, o que me fazia ter que pegar o trem sempre que queria sair. Achei a região bem perigosa também, especialmente à noite, não me sentia seguro. Fora isso, o hostel não oferece nenhum tipo de entretenimento, nem atividades. NENHUM. Não tinha pesseios, quebra gelos ou qualquer outro entretenimento (que costumam acontecer nos hostels). Por fim, gostaria bastante que os quartos tivessem tranca. As portas ficam destrancadas o tempo todo e nem se tem acesso às chaves. O KPOP tocando o tempo todo na recepção também foi um pouco demais e desconexo com a experiência.Muito desagradável

Este hostal es una joya como su nombre, se encuentra muy cerca de la estación de autobuses de Valparaíso, por lo que es muy conveniente. Por otro lado, sus instalaciones son muy buenas, impecable, lo mantienen muy limpio. Es ordenado, tiene restaurante y pizzería, además de cocina para preparar tus alimentos. Realmente muy buen lugar, justo a mitad entre Valparaíso y Viña del Mar.

Me encantó el lugar. Si bien fui en un fin de semana de cuarentena para descansar y desconectarme, aproveché los ricos tragos del restaurant y la compañía de esos dos hermosos gatos que te acompañan a todos lados (cuando no están durmiendo, claro!) El personal es excelente, super amables y preocupados. Tuve un problema con la ducha, pero nada del otro mundo. Volveré de todas maneras

アットホームなホステル

2020/2に2泊しました。一階は駐車場、レセプションや部屋は二階にあるので、チェックイン時はインターホンを鳴らし、ドアを開けてもらい入ります。 チェックイン後は入り口と部屋の鍵の二つをもらいます。スタッフは英語が話せる方でした。ロビーはくつろぐスペースがあり、レストラン、ダイニング（簡易キッチン付）、キッチンが別にあります。 ドミトリーの部屋もあれば個室もあるので、私達は二人用個室に泊まりました。アメニティは石鹸、シャンプー、トリートメントがついていました。タオル（一人2枚）もあります。シャワールームは狭かったですが湯圧、温度共に充分でした。 部屋に冷蔵庫はないので、共用冷蔵庫を使うことになります。近くのモールにスーパーがあるので、材料を買ってきてダイニングで食べることもできます。朝食は簡単なものですが、パン、フルーツ、卵、ホットティーなど十分な量ありました。 可もなく不可もなくといった宿です。バスターミナルや駅にも近いので、観光には困りません。 宿から徒歩距離の mirador baron には必ず行って下さい。絶景が見られます。

Lovely Hostel

We had a great time at La Joya Hostel. The room was a private twin room. It was really clean and well presented. The staff were super helpful too. They have a lively bar which do great Pisco Sours!

Me encantó el lugar, la atención y todo. Muy conveniente el restaurante al lado. El sector es un poco peligroso en la noche pero nada que un taxi no solucione. Las habitaciones son preciosas. La ubicación es demasiado conveniente. Iría de nuevo y lo recomiendo.
