"Staff was very polite, but the cleaning staff may be a bit understaffed. We had 2 rooms for 3 nights and never really had proper housekeeping. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper several times because we were never left any. Our trash was picked up once during our 3 night stay. The beds were not neatly made, and the sheets were never changed. The elevators were very slow, and we did actually get stuck in one of them. They had to reset it to make the doors open. It was not a terrible stay, but I might try another venue next time."

"1st time visitors to San Antonio. The hotel is perfectly located to the River Walk & The Alamo, and very walkable. Our biggest complaint is with the room temperature. It was very warm & made sleeping and getting ready in a ventless bathroom quite uncomfortable. "

"Overall, I liked the old historic feel, but when I first went into my room, I noticed a half-eaten strawberry on the floor by the bed that housekeeping must have missed. The front desk could have shown better customer service; neither lady that worked there when I arrived seemed very unhappy and just very cold to me. The valet Manager and valets though were very helpful"
