We booked this hotel for the indoor pool specifically, and I even called ahead to check on the pool. Was assured by on-site staff it was ready for use. We arrived 10/9/25 @ 1620, asked again at the front desk, assured pool was available. Three hours later, returned to desk, was given pool towels, we were IN SWIMWEAR, walking to pool, and the hotel clerk stops us at the pool entrance. "The pool is down for maintenance, sorry"
And walks away, no eye contact, no respect. I followed him to the front desk and asked when it would be available...he assured me it would be available the next morning as scheduled they just needed to treat it. Fast forward to Friday morning 10/10/25...after breakfast, we again checked the pool status...only then were we informed that the pool was undergoing extensive maintenance, would be drained and unavailable for the next several days. At this point I ask the desk personnel if this was routine maintenance that had been scheduled or an unscheduled repair due to necessity... I was informed they had been planning on doing this for quite a while and knew the pool would be down for several days when it was taken out of service the day before. Lying to your customers shows some of the poorest customer service there is and there's no excuse for it when hotels are very competitive on a major interstate such as Waco and I-35.
