The Lareau Farm Inn is a charming B&B that functions wonderfully as a ski lodge in the winter. It is quiet, clean, furnished so as to create a comfortable, warm, intimate and social space for fellow lodgers, and serves a terrific breakfast. The rooms are clean and spare but a little drafty. Remember to bring your own soap and shampoo, and be prepared to clean your own room every day, as there is rarely any staff or help on site. This is for travelers who prefer a minimal, quiet, clean, intimate space rather than a luxurious, plush, spa treatment with boutiques nearby. Lastly, the adjoining American Flatbread is a neighborhood hotspot, serving good flatbread pizza and a nice selection of local brews.
