  • This character filled, coastal miners cottage has over 150 years of history in its' walls! Built in c1870, Protea Cottage provides a peaceful place to spend your holiday.
    Located in the heart of Wallaroo, it's an easy walk into town & to the beach where you'll find great pubs, a distillery, cafe, a grocery store & a bottle shop. Or take a quick drive down to North Beach where you can drive on the beach & enjoy North Beach Kitchen.

Lovely cottage for short stay with pet

The cottage was lovely to stay in, amenities were good, and our dog (border collie) was safe in the enclosed yard when we were out for dinner.

It was an older cottage which means it has character (we live in a similar aged house so am aware of these and enjoy them)Generally we found the cottage in excellent condition and the facilities were good.WE enjoyed our stay in Wallaroo and the Copper Coast area not having been there for some yearsAmber's instructions for entry were concise and precise and her communication was more than adequate. In short a good host.

Just gorgeous!

Gorgeous cottage so beautifully decorated with everything catered for. Fabulous location walking distance to Main Street. Great secure yard for pooches too and private. We absolutely loved our stay.

The perfect cosy stay.

Mum and her partner had a wonderful 2 night stay. Both are in their 80s, and found the property had everything they needed. The couch was very comfortable and the place was ultra clean.They look forward to rebooking later in the year.

Beautifully presented homely cottage with well set-up kitchen (including coffee pod machine) & bathroom basics supplied. Great location, close to centre of town & the beach. Great that our well behaved pooch could stay too.

Great place and location for a short stay

Only there for a couple of nights to look around Wallaroo. Very clean and tidy and safe. Had all that we needed. Highly recommend.

No problem with parking around the corner, everywhere all very clean, ornaments everywhere, not a speck of dust on any of them. Air fryer very useful. Highly recommend Peter

This was a very old cottage and as a result, the cleanliness was not up to a standard and therefore the set price was too high. The floor near entry was unstable, a light switch in the kitchen area faulty and standard tv operation was not acceptable. The location was generally good but many houses in the street were unkept; not your responsibility but again should be reflected in the pricing.

Fun getaway

Beautiful location, cottage was perfect for our stay.very comfortable. Beautifully decoated and equipped. Really needed to stay longer.
