This hotel was the most disappointing establishment we have had the misfortune of visiting. The pervasive odor and uncleanliness were overwhelming, and even our dog refused to eat in the room. A cockroach was discovered in my room, and the pillow was extremely uncomfortable and lacked sufficient loft. We experienced severe discomfort, verging on nausea. Despite booking a two-night stay and paid an extra 72$ for our dog, we departed after the first day due to our deteriorating health. The hotel's name suggests a level of luxury, but the reality is far inferior to even the most basic accommodations in developing countries.

Due to the very wet weather it was impossible to get an appreciation of the gardens etc. The room was clean but the overall view of the accommodation was that it was very tired and needed an upgrade. For the price it was a good stay. The Lantern Restaurant however was superb. The service, food and general appearance was excellent.

Toilet seat did not fit and cover was cracked Tap fittings were lose and unsafe Many fittings did not exist Shower fan was noisy and hardly functioned No shelf to place soap Light fittings/switches missing No signs identifying motel site. Walking across wet lawn to get to stairs to access room. Sliding door to deck was difficult to shut and lock Front door marked Complex was relatively dark, safety & security an issue. Question the availability of food menu Switches were inadequate and confused as to what each switch was working each outlet Smell of aging complex No water glasses Early check out : front door open but no body at reception. Left key in “express check out” cupboard Doona needed clean or replacement We would never stay there again, or recommend to others. Fee for quality of service advertised was almost misleading. Property is old and run down, the curtain and light fittings were barely hanging on the walls. The doors were difficult to open and close, let alone lock. Outdoor area was dirty and clearly has not been cleaned or maintained for months, we dared not use the pool. There was also alot of animal waste on the grounds. I’m surprised the lawn was even mown. The games room had a pool table , in terrible condition, a ping pong top on the other , with equipment that looks like was picked up by the side of the road. If I was there with my wife & daughters , we wouldn’t have stayed an hour.

Ok for a quick stay

Perfect location for beach “staycation” adventures only 4 minutes away. We stayed one night, I can’t imagine you’d want to stay longer if you wanted more comfort. Definitely an old place with extremely flat pillows & we had a kettle base but no kettle. For a quick stay though, the aircon was cold, the shower was hot with great water pressure. Room clean but dated. Didn’t try the pool because we stayed all day at the beach and ate out hence only looking for a bed over night.
