The accommodation is a part of a tree nursery. When we arrived, it was not clear where to check in. We made our way to the nursery office and the staff seemed a little confused and where not expecting us. We confirmed that we were staying in the Chestnut Cottage and they said, 'oh the keys will be in the door'.We quickly collected the keys and dropped our bags and took off for the afternoon and evening.
Once we returned and were ready to settle in, we realised that there were items missing. No plug for the spa, no lighter for the fireplace and no iron. There were also spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom. There was a (permanent) note to let us know that the space had been cleaned and to contact them if it was not up to standards. There was no contact details, so we called the main number on the website...which informed us of their office hours and that they were closed. So I made my way to what I believed was the main house and asked for the missing items. They were helpful and 20 minutes later a man came with firestarters and an iron. Although he had no plug or lighter. I asked about the bath plug as I was really hanging for a bath (I'm pregnant with no bath at home and this was one reason we booked the accom). He was in disbelief that there was no plug and said he was welcome to come an have a look. Apparently people keep stealing the plugs! After another 20 min or so, he came back with a plug and we still needed a lighter. Disappointing that the room was not checked prior
