「Finding a reasonably priced and clean hotel was very pleasant after a very long day of traveling」

「We had a wonderful stay. Owner/innkeeper was a delight. The family did an amazing job with the restoration of the place. Bed and Breakfast and was outstanding. We will definitely book again when we are visiting that area. Glad we decided to book there instead of the hotels in Halifax or the nearby towns.」

「"If you want to step away from the noise and just relax, this is the perfect spot. The off-grid setting provided such a peaceful atmosphere, and we truly enjoyed every minute spent in the space. A wonderful experience from start to finish!"」

「Wonderful experience definitely will be going again」

「Perfect from start to finish. More games and toys than we ever imagined. Kitchen had everything and more!!! Loved the double oven and extra refrigerators. Beds were so comfortable that some of us want to buy same for our homes. I highly recommend this property!」

「Beautiful views. It’s a hidden gem.」

「House is really cute and inside very interesting and perfectly clean. We had several issues - internet too spotty to use (no work, no TV), no water by dock, neighborhood not great. No matches to light fire-pit and no wood made available. All restaurants and activities closed because considered off season (even hiking). Outdoors not clean-cushions wet or moldy - no comfortable seating on screened porch. Very quiet and we loved the birds but this trip was disappointing. I needed to work and could...

「We were so lucky to have the pleasure of staying at The Cooks' Quarters, this place is such a gem. From booking, check-in, duration of stay, check-out and post check-out, communication and response time from Keith was clear, sincere and timely. The property itself was lovely and peaceful, the home was so cute and welcoming when we pulled up. Upon checking in, we were greeted with a warm note from Kathryn, a bowl of fruit and fresh flowers! This place truly felt like a home away from home. The...

「Very clean property! Easy to communicate with host. Easy check in and check out.」

「This home is perfect for 2-3 guest. You could fit 4 people easy enough. Although it is a smaller home, the kitchen, living room and dining area is roomy and open! The outdoor area is wonderful. Very private location with a nice outdoor patio. Outdoor picnic table and what appears to be several acres of land surrounding the home. The host responds quickly if you have any questions. I was a guest at home June 2026 and would absolutely return to this home if I am in the area again.」

「Great little place, comfortable bed and pillows, had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend. Water pressure could have been better but I think it’s an old house they remodeled.」

「Jeanette thought of everything: snacks, coffee, tea, a bottle of wine, a fridge with drinks, a microwave and a Keurig… a patio to myself with chairs at waterside to drink my morning coffee…. a kayak… She even took me for a ride on her boat and brought me a chicken dinner one night. Jeanette checked in with me on a regular basis….」

「It was a super place to stay. We were fishing at Buggs Island. Boat ramp was just 3 miles away. The host and hostess were super people. We will be back for sure!!! It was great just showing up and having everything we needed but our food. 」
