What a great home to spend our summer week in VT! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook full dinners and breakfasts for 9 adults. The thermal carafe coffee pot uses small cone filters for any planners, like me. The house was clean and easy to maintain, even with our crowd. Access to several grills on the grounds, pool got some good use, and although closed due to COVID, the game room would have been great. No AC, but there was a fan for almost every bedroom and we got a nice cross breeze through open windows. I think we picked the hottest week in VT, so that may have been a fluke. Washer/dryer were great, and lots of drawers for unpacking. Plenty of extra blankets if you are traveling in winter and super easy access to Sugarbush, any time of year. The view of the slopes off the back deck was awesome! I loved being one flight up in the condo units. The bunk room was perfect for our crowd and the room with twin beds could have been pushed together for a couple. A surprise queen size fouton in a semi private, tucked away loft worked out great, too! Plenty of towels and trash bags available for our stay. The Shaw's grocery down the road closes at 9pm, so stock up on the way to the house! The pass code access lock was convenient- no need to manage keys and we had 2 vehicles, but no problems with parking at all.
Ski trip bonus features: the metal grate walk outside to ditch some snow off boots before walking in, a nice big entryway for wet gear and skiis, and a gas fireplace to dry gloves and boots.
Summer fun recommendations: Stowe gondola ride and hike at the top, Percy Farm corn maze-Stowe, Lareau Swimming Hole-Waitsfield (the river was too low for tubin'), Camel's Hump day hike, and Above Reality Balloon Ride-Essex (pricey, but Bucket List worthy! Holy WoW!) Be sure to check out the Mad Taco...yum!
Can't WAIT to go back next year!!
