I stayed in DC this weekend, choosing this hotel for its location and amenities.
Pros: The hotel is within walking distance of great shops, and the breakfast was phenomenal. I also appreciated the interactive in-room experience, the pleasant scent throughout the hotel, and the beautiful and spacious lobby. The room, while smaller than I’m used to, was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: I had a few interactions with staff that felt abrupt and unwelcoming. For example, when I went to get tea, I was asked if I had checked in for breakfast and was told, “There’s a sign,” in a way that felt dismissive. I also wasn’t able to reach the front desk when I called from my room, and I wasn’t sure whether irons were available on-site.
I would, however, like to highlight two staff members, Lovie and Bishop, who were exceptionally kind and attentive—not only to me but also to other guests. They went out of their way to ensure I felt taken care of, and their professionalism truly stood out.
Thank you to the housekeeping staff for their diligence and to the team members who made the guest experience feel warm and welcoming.
