Room was basic. Good for the price. Common areas were dingy and in neeed of an upgrade but rooms were clean. No microwave or fridge in room. Very convenient if you didn't have a car; three blocks from Metro. Quick ride into DC

The hotel is older and could use a facelift in the common areas. An elevator was out during the duration of our stay. My room was on the 6th floor and was very clean and comfortable. We were not bothered by City noise. The bed was great. The housekeeping staff kept the room clean and the towels and bedding were very clean and comfortable. To be in the heart of Van Ness it was a great price and very comfortable. The rest of the hotel could use some updating. Definitely would stay again.

We were pleased with the improments made at this property since our last visit a year ago, The Carpets were clean, the rooms were improved, and even though one elevator was out one day, it was back in business the next day,

The place was clean, If you want a place to only sleep it is the place to be. The bed and shower was the only good thing about our room. No coffee maker or microwave in the room. Had to go downstairs to the main lobby for that. No restaurant or bar in the hotel, Had to go outside and walk nextdoor to the restaraunt that is supposed to be on property. No good stations on TV.

An aging budget hotel that needs some TLC here and there. My room was fine (clearly renovated in the last few years- nice) but too many little things that needed repair (leather on the desk chair was cracked, could see lining- looked a very worn 40 years old), elevator floors were old and though mopped, still looked filthy, general feel of the public floors felt like an inner city emergency room. That said, the staff were amazing, friendly and quick to respond to questions. Again I realize the site is a bargain hotel, but your competitors do a much better job with look and feel and still are affordable.
