"The room and staff were lovely. Unfortunately the breakfast which I had thought was in luded was not and at £15 expensive...Our room had a constant loud banging noise all night from the balcony roof so we had no sleep."

"Ashlar House is very centrally located in Wells, just a two minute walk from the glorious Cathedral and Bishops Palace, the market square and main shopping centre with restaurants and coffee shops. The house itself is well equipped with everything needed to make it feel like home from home. Safe off-road parking was a bonus. All in all a great base in this beautiful city."

"My daughter and I had a wonderful stay - the room was beautiful with a charming feeling. We had a view of the cathedral which was stunning and changed with the change in light. Great location and the staff were so friendly - I'd fully recommend for a short stay."

"I originally wanted to book from the 14th to the 18th but the system wouldn’t allow me to do that so I ended up booking one night and then after a couple of false starts I managed to book the other 3 nights. The first night I had a room with a shower which was very nice (lovely in fact). However the wi fi was terrible downstairs but works a lot better upstairs as I had to change rooms because of not being able to book all 4 nights at the same time. Really good otherwise."

"The hotel was fine. Hotel.com should not advertise breakfast included, when midweek it is not. The hotel kindly provided breakfast when we pointed out you had advertised it. Also very unhappy with your link to Tesco vouchers. We had to use your specific booking channel to use our Tesco vouchers, which cost nearly twice as much as if I had booked it directly myself. This rendered the vouchers almost valueless as far as we were concerned. So, in summary, hotel very nice, but not happy with the elements linked to you."
