The location & grounds were beautiful...top notch. Bed very comfortable, but carpet & room were dated. However it was clean & staff were excellent & the burger was EXCEPTIONAL at the restaurant. We would definitely stay there again & would recommend.

Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a major rain storm that was happening in Cape Breton. Despite losing power and transportation disrupted by washouts, the staff was excellent in facilitating our shortened stay and subsequent evacuation. The front desk point person, Hannah, was awesome!

The highlight of the stay was the band Eastbound who performed while we were there. Spacious rooms, large comfortable beds, great showers and fabulous views of Bras D’Or lakes. Dinner was good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Amazing place for an overnight stay if you’re doing the Cabot trail. They accommodated an early check-in/late check-out for our large group. The property was well maintained with beautiful views of the lake.

Had reservations when disaster hit Cape Breton, including the Resort, which closed and was evacuated. Amber at the front desk helped us secure a room in Port Haweksbury for the night and worked from home to get a refund issued. Absolutely 💯 percent customer service, even during a natural disaster. Would highly recommend.

The cottages were very nice, had everything we needed even a BBQ grill. The weather was very bad as it rained all through our stay. We were not able to utilize most of the outdoor activities because of the terrible storm. I will advise you visit in July or August so as to maximize the activities in the resort. Staff were very helpful and excellent, the indoor pool was great.

The setting of this resort is beautiful with vistas of the lake D’or. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the front desk staff very helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was quite poor with the food barely edible and expensive. We had come from Halifax which offered excellent food at more reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet was also poor and the only breakfast option for $25. The resort has been neglected and several areas need painting or at least a good power wash.
