The Trapper Cabin was a delight to rent. It is small but packed with everything you need for visiting Yellowstone. The cabin has two single beds, a decent sized bathroom, and is situated in a very quiet part of town. The neighbors in this park are mostly seasonal employees of YNP and we’re delightful, welcoming, and extremely quiet.
Billie and Geoff (owners) put a lot of thought and effort into this property. Again, it is small cabin. However, it offered everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of hot water and clean linens, and WiFi and TV for those that want them. We didn’t use either as we came in late and left early each day.
The location of the cabin is not in the center of town. To us, that was nice as we wanted to have a quiet stay. While it may be not directly in the center of town, in the small town of Yellowstone, that means about three blocks away from all the action of activities and dining. Most important in terms of location is its direct access to the park. With just two turns and five or so blocks you are right at the West Gate.
Oh, did I mention that you get coffee and ice cream as part of your stay at Espresso West. This small truck is right by the park’s entrance and right in the middle of town.
When we return, we will absolutely stay here again.
