Fun winter weekend getaway
Overall we enjoyed our stay, we were there for the snow at Lassen NP and we’re out most of the days. In the winter, definitely need a 4-wheel drive/all-wheel drive as the driveway is actually a fire road easement (not well marked) and with an incline that sometimes took a few runs to get through. Coffee maker was old and a little sparse on the cooking pans and utensils, but manageable if not making big quantities. Wi-Fi was a little spotty, the first night the TV couldn’t connect and cell reception also not great. Everything else was fine and family had a good trip overall.

Lovely relaxing cabin at the lake
This cabin was perfect for our family as a base to explore Lassen Volcanic NP and Lake Almanor. Cabin is wonderful - everything we needed was supplied & the owner was very easy to work with. No problems checking in or out. Would definitely book again!

Wonderful property and area
We truly enjoyed the property and area. The cabin was clean and very cozy comfortable. It had everything we needed and wanted. We plan to go back next year and explore more of the beautiful and friendly area. Relax and enjoy the world around us.

Great cabin - great lake
We so enjoyed staying in this great cabin in the lake Almanor country club area. The cabin is so comfortable and nicely appointed. Clean, spacious and nicely designed. It was just me and my husband, but it would have been so fun with more family members. The country club area has nice beach access. It feels like a fun family lake. We rented kayaks at one of the lake resorts. Lassen Park is just 45 minutes away. Not crowded at all.

Fantastic Forest Get Away
We had such an amazing time and stay at this cabin! The manger kept in great communication and was super informative with our questions. The view is worth every penny alone, but the accommodations and amenities made the stay. If you have a chance to stay, def make it a week or longer!

Another perfect stay
This was our 3rd visit to Lake Almanor and the past 2 years we have stayed in this cabin. I can’t praise it enough. The house is beautiful and clean. Location is perfect for us. Close to everything but nestled nicely in LACC. Every morning I would have my coffee looming out at the lake and the trees. The owner communicated well with me from the initial booking and even accommodated us arriving a day early. There’s a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and 3 large bedrooms. The loft is a great addition. We had game night every night! I can’t give it enough praise and we will most definitely return next summer.

An absolute wonderful place to stay. The access was a little strange and it would have been nice to have the game/TV room on the lower floor but otherwise the place was fantastic and we would definitely rent it again.

This is a truly wonderful place!
This property is special - spacious, comfortable, very clean and well appointed with everything you need, including games and a foosball table! The view is gorgeous. There is a loft for additional sleeping or lounging space. The pictures don’t do this property justice. The owner, Lanita, is helpful and could not be nicer. I highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin!
My first time using VRBO and it was a great experience. The cabin is so much more beautiful in person! Enough room for my family of 5 adults and 1 toddler! We enjoyed drinking coffee on the balcony in the morning and the game room/living area on the loft was so much fun. Well equipped kitchen, Big bedrooms and a great big walk-in shower on the first floor which was ideal for our 83 yr old grandfather with mobility issues. Would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Great Log Cabin
We really enjoyed the rustic feel of staying in a log cabin! We got some good ideas to use in our plans to build our own cabin. Loved the decor, the view, the starry nights and Clyde also! It was pretty warm the week we were there but the portable A/C units did well in keeping the place comfortable. Lanita was very responsive in communication. It was a good time!!

Could stay here forever
Everything was beyond expectations from the ease of booking, the amazing communication with the owner and the actual house itself. The photos and descriptions are lovely but it’s nothing like what you will see in person. If you are considering this property I say yes yes a million times yes. One note, there are plenty of bath towels but you’ll need to bring beach towels if you’re heading to the lake. Other than that it is a fully stocked home- I highly recommend IL Lago pizza if you’re wanting a night off from cooking. We will be back again- no doubt. ❤️

Wonderful Vacation at Almanor!
We booked this rental on fairly short notice and lucked out with the dates. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and love Lake Almanor. I remember how much I loved it as a teen and wanted to give my kids that same experience. We spent most of each boating and having fun. We did manage to golf nine holes one day and visited Lassen Volcanic Park another. We loved eating on the back deck every night and then playing cards. The last night we had a dance party on the deck. Great memories were made!! A couple of tips for future renters: The road is not conducive for a ski boat. Luckily I have a buddy with a house on Peninsula drive that let me store my boat in his driveway. When we visited Almanor many years ago, we rented a slip in Big Cove but now it's exclusively seasonal rental. I should have investigated this much sooner so that's on me! Second tip: Bring a portable Bluetooth speaker. We had a Sonos Roam which was perfect. Overall, I highly recommend the house and the host was very responsive and attentive.

A wonderful getaway!
My family (3 adults and 1 child) just loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy, yet spacious, close to the clubhouse and golf course, and boasted a beautiful view of Lake Almanor. We were there to attend a family wedding, but so enjoyed our "off" time ... Fooz Ball and Connect 4 games were a big hit! We would love to come back. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.

Wonderful Family Vacation
My family just returned from our stay at the cabin, and are wishing we were still there! The property was as advertised, and felt spacious for us and our kids. The kids loved the foosball table and the stash of games, and I was often found on the sofa upstairs - which quickly became my favorite spot to look out to the partial lake view in the distance. Log Cabin in the forest - great vibe!
So clean we almost couldn't believe it. So welcoming. Comfy furniture, well- stocked kitchen utensils, gorgeous, fun deck area with a partial lake view. Very quiet area. You could hear a pin drop at night and that was on the 4th of July weekend!!!! Thank you to our gracious host, Lanita- always there for a quick text when we had a question. Great vacation and Lake Almanor Country Club is clean, safe and has lots to do.

Family reunion at Lake Almanor
This property worked great for us. It was clean and cool. Even though temps were about 90 in the afternoons, the house stayed very cool with the AC unit in the living room. Very quiet neighborhood and the front gate personnel were helpful. We didn’t find the playground (rec center) until our last day but our grandkids really loved it. We utilized the park tables for a nice dinner in the shade.

Good cabin for two young families
We really loved this place with four adults and four children. The view is awesome. The log cabin is really cool. We had a snag at check in at the gate but Lanita took care of it promptly. The road the cabin is on is a one way street on a fire road, which was sort of a challenge to navigate with so much snow. Love being in the country club and having access to the sled hill at the driving range. Overall a great deal here.

Nice house
Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well Had a nice comfortable stay here. We had to bring our boat back as there were no boat slips available. It was a bit squeezy getting the boat in & out of the front parking. The bathroom upstairs has a tub no shower. Few inconveniances we really enjoyed our stay here.

Had a fun time at the cabin! but...
Had mostly everything we needed. Nice deck, BBQ, fire pit & game room. My only complaint is renting to 6+ adults and saying you have 2 bathrooms, but failing to mention that there's only 1 shower.. The living room sofas and chair could be updated.

Great value and highly recommend
We found this property to meet all of our expectations. The cabin is extremely roomy, well maintained/beautiful, and stocked with many extras. After arriving, we realized we had forgotten our beach chairs and umbrella; we were pleasantly surprised to find these items available at the property.... as well as many other necessities. The deck overlooking the forest and lake is awesome and provided so much fun for the family to hang out and enjoy the beautiful view. The owner, Lanita, is extremely responsive and accommodating! We had several last minute requests with guest changes, etc. and she made everything happen expeditiously and graciously. You cannot find better value for the money with this property, or a better owner to do business with. Thank you Lanita!

This was a great place for our family vacation. Access to the country club facilities (boat launches, play grounds, BBQs) was great. Recommend picking up some stuff to grill at the "Family Dinner" on the weekend.

Mountain cabin getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the Latham cabin in gorgeous Lake Almanor Country Club. The cabin was tucked away in a quiet location but yet close to lots of options for entertainment- two close beach areas/recreation, golf courses, restaurants, hiking, boating, fishing and so much more. We even made the short drive to Mt. Lassen National Park and enjoyed the snow in July! Lanita was very easy to work with and responses promptly to all my inquiries. She had the cabin decorated festively for the 4th of July and fully stocked with amenities to make our stay comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our mornings with coffee and evenings with wine on the lovely porch with the lake view. Highly recommend this property.
