A Relaxing Vacation in the Countryside at the IBINGHOF

Our historic farmhouse is idyllically nestled in the peaceful scenic conservation area in Wetter an der Ruhr.
The Ruhr Valley Bike Trail, which connects the Sauerland with the Ruhr region, is easily accessible. From this peaceful retreat in Ibing, you can explore many attractions in the Ruhr region.
The two-story, structurally sound, new vacation home—measuring 80 square meters—has been integrated into the historic barn building. Heating is available via a masonry heater. Underfloor heating. Solar power. First floor: Spacious living room with panoramic windows, high-quality new built-in kitchen, as well as a bathroom and storage room. Upper floor: Bedroom with built-in closet, small bathroom, and a room for flexible use.
We are an ecologically managed Bioland farm and produce almost everything we sell ourselves—from our own animals and our 33-hectare property—using extensive and environmentally sustainable methods.
We raise our endangered heirloom livestock breeds extensively on our surrounding meadows and orchard meadows, which feature old standard-tree fruit varieties.
Through our work on the farm, we want to show that the old-school farm still exists: with its heritage breeds, its animals you can interact with, its farm and orchard for self-sufficiency, and the species-appropriate coexistence of people, nature, and animals. We want to demonstrate that agriculture can revitalize old cultural landscapes. Children and adults should be able to experience and feel firsthand how chicks hatch, why sheep have such thick wool in winter, and why little owls and red kites help us with our work.
