Situated just 21km from Whangarei CBD, this tidy 2 bedroom abode awaits your arrival.
This home is very tidy, compact but spacious, well appointed, with elevated views of the water. Easy indoor/ outdoor flow, roomy private section bordering the bush, yet close to the water. Nestled between majestic Mt Manaia and the expansive Whangarei Harbour, McLeod's Bay is the perfect holiday playground
Plenty of room to park the boat, and large lawn for children to play safely. Not Wheelchair friendly.

McLeod's Bay has safe swimming, is great for all water pursuits, boats can be launched from the beach. Whangarei Harbour is renowned for fishing and diving with Whangarei Heads having beautiful East Coast beaches, and is the gateway to off shore Islands.
There is a store and cafe/ takeaway within the bay.
A tennis court and numerous walkways and tracks for all fitness levels within short distance. A Service Station is at Parua Bay, (only 8 km away) for fuel, dive and propane, a Four Square, liquor and bakery stores at the shopping center. The Pines Golf course 12 km towards Whangarei.
There are 2 bedrooms, 1 Super-king bed, 2 single beds, a fold down double bed, and 2 spare mattresses.

This bach was the perfect base for our weekend in Whangarei Heads. Lovely views of McLeod's Bay and with the house backing onto the bush, we enjoyed seeing the native birds. We even thought we heard kiwi at night. The bach was just the right size for our family of two adults and two kids, very clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The kids loved playing badminton on the front lawn. The owners were very responsive to all our questions, and gave detailed instructions on finding the bach and the check-in procedures. Overall fantastic value. We hope to stay there again in the future!

Wonderful McLeods bay bach stay

This is a lovely bach in a beautiful quiet bay and had all the amenities that we needed. The view is amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. Our elderly father was easily able to move from the car to inside the bach, no stairs and enjoy the wonderful views. Thanks so muchLiz & whanau

Back was everything promised. The view of McLeod’s Bay was a great surprise. The bird watching was great ; at least a dozen different birds all easily seen and id’ed. Nice property for a good price with everything you need plus very private with a great view. 10 minutes to Parau Bay Tavern (best place to eat) and close to Mt Mania and the Mania Club for cheap cheerful drinks etc.

Very straight forward service. Clean and tidy house all necessities there and a beautiful stay.

Property gave a typical bach style. The beauty was in the view. The sounds of the birds at night and a getaway worth the quite. The town was slighlty ghostly because it was mid week however very well needed. The beach was warm and easy access from the bach. What a view

We got there pretty late but the place was perfect. It had everything needed for our stay. Beautiful view of the water during the day and the stars at night were amazing. Hosts were very lovley people. Let us extend our checkout time. Amazing place!
