Check-in went very well and our room was ready when we got there. Then we went down for lunch at the bar at Harvest. We were hungry and thirsty after a 2.5 hour drive. The bartender (a tall man wearing a hat) ignored us from the minute we sat down. My husband had to flag him down and he called to us from where he was standing to take our drink and food order. That was the last we heard from him. My drink (a bloody Mary), which I specifically ordered with no spice, was so spicey I couldnt drink it. Since we were being ignored, I couldn't notify the bartender about this. Eventually a woman came over and said she was from the gift shop and would help out. We asked her to check our food order, since we had been waiting at least 30 minutes at that point. She immediately brought the food out, and it had obviously been sitting, because it was barely warm. We ate what we could, signaled for a check, paid and left. Horrible, unforgivable lack of service. The hotel overall was lackluster. Carpets throughout are worn and dirty. Coffee service was promised in the lobby in the morning, but never was there. My husband asked about it, and he was told that "we had a hiccup this morning". Apparently there was a hiccup the second morning as well, because there was no coffee. The coffee maker in our room was broken. We discovered this the morning we were leaving, and notified the front desk. No apology was offered. This was our first and last visit.

We’ve been here 2 other times when our kids were young. This time my husband and I went for Valentine’s weekend. Thursday evening we had dinner in the dining room and my Pork schnitzel was overcooked. My husband’s meal was great. When the waitress came over at the end of our meal and asked how dinner was, we told her about the pork schnitzel She said you should’ve told me, we said you never stopped by to check on us during our meal. We had lunch twice at the bar. The food was very good. The bartender was really nice but overwhelmed with the amount of people. People coming in, had to clear their own tables in order to sit down and order something. Overall service was lacking for the amount of people checking in. The hotel should’ve realized that Valentines weekend and school vacation week needed more staff. We went off properly for dinner the other two night. Other families we met did the same. We enjoyed the sleigh ride and the barn animals. Tubing was fun as well. We went to the 9pm movie on both Friday and Saturday night and had to call the front desk for them to start the movie. Again, staff was overwhelmed everywhere. Beautiful location but service was disappointing.

The rooms are very nice was a little cool at night, though the first night but then tended to warm up but they were lovely. Service was fine. Everybody was very pleasant and I loved Linda and the provision shop. What a sweetheart it’s things like that really kind give a real personal feeling to places I think and then yeah we had a great time

The rooms were lovely and spacious with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. The lobby is welcoming with a nice gas fireplace and big bar area. The Tavern is middling (stick with fries & burgers!), and the breakfast buffet is disappointing. If the cost of breakfast is not included in your room, do yourself a favor and skip the $20+ buffet and drive a mile down the road to Grandma's kitchen for a fabulous, much cheaper breakfast! The grounds of the hotel are lovely and our kids LOVED going to the farm out back to pet the goats, llamas and donkeys. The pool was great for the kids, and parking was easy. We enjoyed our winter stay (almost everyone at the hotel was there to go to Santa's Village!), and would like to come back and enjoy the summer offerings. The only drawback is the lack of good food options in the area, you feel stuck eating at the hotel tavern, which is mediocre.

Mountain View Grand Resort was incredible! We went in December, so it was a winter wonderland, and the Resort was full of holiday charm. The property is beautiful, clean, and has great amenities. The best part is the staff. We were only there a couple of days, but it felt like we had been there forever because of how engaging, helpful, and wonderful everyone was. You can have a great weekend getaway with friends and family here. I cannot wait to go back!
