A great little getaway!
A truly peaceful and tranquil little slice of heaven! The property owner was wonderful with communicating everything with us and the breakfasts were an added treat. My husband and I were looking for a few days to just unwind and this was the perfect fit.

Clean, great breakfast
The loft was clean, cozy and equipped. The hosts were very nice and brought a great breakfast every morning! I thought the location was secluded but it wasn’t what I imagined. The road to get there is pretty rough and curvy- it takes 30 min to go 11 miles! Also, the neighbor, who is 20 yards from the loft, has a rooster that crows every morning at 7:30.

Dock is beautiful, lodging is basic
What makes this place special is its location right on the river. Note that you cannot see the river from the house itself. But it’s a short walk down to the dock, and the views from the dock are beautiful. You can bring your own canoe or kayak, like we did and set out on a journey from the dock. The lodging itself is pretty basic, it’s really just one room that has two beds and a small kitchenette. There is no stove and no oven, which makes cooking a meal rather difficult. This might not matter if there were lots of dining options nearby, but the closest restaurant is about a half an hour away. We made do with the hot plate that was provided. The host was very friendly and accommodating. If you choose to stay here, you might consider cooking your own meals in advance, and then heating them up in the microwave.

The loft was a nice property tucked in the mountains. The view of the lake is spectacular! The homemade breakfast delivered daily was delicious. The only downfall was the road leading to the loft.

Very beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
Me and my two boys (12 and 14) enjoyed the cabin very much. There is access to the river, fishing, kayaking. The view is beautiful. Home made breakfast was fantastic. Room is very cozy. We had everything we needed.

Relaxing weekend on the Lake!
We had a great time at Susan and Jerry’s place. We booked their Mallard room, which was a few steps away from the dock. This area is absolutely serene/beautiful. For the 4th of July weekend the waters were not even busy which was nice to just kick back on the dock or take our kayak out on the lake. It’s not very often that we get to hear the sounds of nature (being from the city). The trip was so peaceful. And just to clarify , the reviews about Susan’s breakfast don’t lie… ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Every morning we got a knock on our door with a picnic basket full of different types of homemade scones and bread. So delightful!!! She also put a hot meal in there too! A couple of examples of the hot food were homemade biscuit sandwiches & fresh scrambled eggs with sausage and veggies. Again, so scrumptious. I told Susan she should open up her own restaurant or cafe ! Also be prepared to drive a little while (30-40 mins) depending on how fast you can driving on back roads, to make it into Chatt. We did get to go into Chatt a couple times. We recommend the minor league baseball team there and also Clumpies ( the best homemade icecream out there , better than Jeni’s) and yes I said that. Also If you are into rock climbing and hiking there are so many great spots around !

This place was amazing and very beautiful!!! The breakfast in a basket each morning was delicious and was such a blessing! Our boys really enjoyed the hot baked cookies when we first showed up! We would highly recommend this place to others!

Much Needed Staycation
From the fresh baked cookies, to the freshly made breakfast, and the detailed emails this was our favorite Vrbo stay. Definitely a 5 star rating for sure. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the neighborhood itself and the dogs next door barking when we would come in and out, but the host alone are worth staying!

We are so grateful to have stayed here! The owners were so helpful and kind and the place was very clean. We cannot get over how absolutely delicious the hot breakfast in a basket was!! The property is beautiful and we loved sitting out on the dock with our dog. An absolutely perfect location for us as we like to get away from it all yet be close enough to head into the city to explore. We had some great food in Chattanooga with our dog at Taco Mac and then headed into Ocoee and we just loved everything about everywhere we went. We would love to come back and explore Ruby Falls and many other outdoor attractions. Again, so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to stay here. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here!

Greatest stay
Our stay at the loft was incredible. The managers of this property were some of the most amazing people we've ever met. The incredible breakfast say deliver to our room brought back so many childhood memories of being in my mom and Grandma's kitchen. I told them I had plans to ask my girlfriend to marry me on their boat dock and they made sure I have the access and the lighting to do so. I cannot wait to go back and neither can my fiance.

Clean place, not a great location
Looking it up on google maps, it seemed to be closer to Chattanooga (in minutes), but it took so long to get there because the road is not paved for a long time. Very windy, seems to take forever. The place was clean. We did communicate with the owner and she seemed like she was annoyed, but trying to act polite. It is above the house and you do have to climb a good number of stairs to get in, so keep that in mind if you have physical concerns. Also, bring extra washcloths, as we did not have enough. Overall, the place was satisfactory, but I wouldn’t stay again due to the location, mostly. The lack of internet reception (which is disclosed in the description) was annoying as well, though I understand that is outside of the owner’s control.

Great property if you are looking to disconnect and unwind at the lake. The owner was very communicative, yet gave us our privacy. It was nice to wake up to breakfast at the door every morning, those special touches is what makes this a great stay. Lake Nickajack was beautiful as always.

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I wanted to get away for our 29th Anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place! Even though Jerry & Susan had to leave for the weekend, they were still very accommodating. The breakfasts were still provided and was soooo good. You won’t be disappointed! If we had any questions, they answered us back quickly. If you love to fish like us, you will catch some Catfish and Bass like we did! We will definitely be back again! Thank you Jerry & Susan for your hospitality and making our stay very memorable! We will be back, hopefully sooner than later, then we all can sit around the fire pit and make memories!

Amazing Exerience!
I came to Chattanooga seeking a time of quiet meditation and I got exactly what I was looking for. The property is breathtaking with its beautiful waterfront view and dock which goes 40-50 yards into the river. The mornings were so peaceful and it was a great blessing to have the breakfast baskets waiting for me every morning. The food was excellent! Susan and Jerry are amazing hosts!

Beautiful place
We had a great stay at the loft. I was a little hesitant after reading a few of the reviews but glad we took the chance. My family and I (hubby and two boys age 6 and 1.5) plus our dog stayed here. Honestly what made me pick this place was that it seemed like a hotel room but also had the outdoor space to fish and grill and be able to enjoy the view. the Host Susan was super nice and her baked goods for breakfast were delicious!! I think the only thing that I could see people having an issue with is how deep in the woods/mountains this property is. We drove anywhere from 30-60 minutes to get to Chatanooga and surrounding sights. However , we missed being around mountains and trees so for us the drive was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Loft was everything we needed and more!!
Such a cute and well appointed property!! The location was simply beautiful and just what my family needed. We had a short stay, but made the best of it playing on the picturesque water. I cannot say enough about the hospitality of the owners! It was above and beyond and the breakfast each morning was delicious! We just wish we had a few more days to stay and enjoy this property. Not what we expected
After reading the reviews, we were disappointed in this property. The property is located 11 miles down a substandard roadway. We were almost hit by oncoming traffic several times. The property itself was similar to a camp. The furniture seemed second hand in nature possibly picked up at a garage sale- lampshades were dusty and stained, bedding for pullout sofa was musty smelling. Cell service at this location was very spotty. Direct tv service was in and out. The river in this area was stagnant wouldn’t be relaxing to sit and relax in this spot. The host was very kind providing breakfast and treats in the mornings. However, the property was accessed when we weren’t there. We know this because they left the light on in the locked closet which wasn’t previously on. If you’re in Chattanooga visiting the sites, add 30 mins just to get down the 12 mile road. I’d stay elsewhere if looking to visit Rock City and Ruby Falls.

The light in the closet goes out at times,making it hard to remember to flip the switch off-we wanted to apologize for this bothering you guys when it came back on. You will like staying here.
The place is clean and it has a beach house motif inside. You will be staying in and upstairs apartment up the hill from the main house. It has room for two people and maybe two kids. Everything is furnished for you except for food. The owners bring you a great breakfast in a basket every morning. You will be able to set on a great dock on the river with wildlife all around. We really enjoyed that part. We had great phone signals which was a plus. It is not far away from lookout mountain and other attractions. The owners are really nice. It is along a main road going back to the property. The road is blacktop but some spots are in poor condition. You will have to go slow. The views of the river along the road is nice. It made me wish I had a house on the river. If you like a private setting along the water this is for you.

I can not say enough about this location. My husband and I decided to go up for our 26th wedding anniversary. We got there later in the evening but when we arrived the lights inside the Loft were on for us and there was music playing on the tv. We were exhausted (it was 9:30 and we’d hit a lot of traffic on the way up) so we went to bed. The next morning I woke up and shortly after there was a knock on the door and when I opened it up there was a basket with our breakfast in it. It was some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Homemade biscuits, scones, cookies and a different flavor of bread every day. We were mainly only there to sleep as we stayed gone during the day but it was nice to have such a comfortable coxlzy place to come back to each evening. I would definitely book through this property again

My wife had a great time renting this place. We'll kept property with a great view of the Tennessee River and the mountains. Susan provided a delicious breakfast and let us be. The last 11 miles to the property are rough but worth the drive. Stop by Walmart etc for food and supplies especially if you don't plan to leave the property. They have a fridge, coffee maker. Microwave, and toaster oven. My wife and I had our single serve keurig, air fryer, and smokeless indoor grill/ gridle. Remember this is a wooded area so bring bug repellent. Over all a great experience.
