Lovely place to stay
Lovely peaceful room with view across fields, well located for looking around Solway Firth which is magic as the sun goes down. Bike storage and an enormous breakfast. Recommended, thanks!
Really nice, clean place about 7km from Bowness and the start/finish of the Hadrian's Wall and about 20 mins in the car from the centre of Carlisle.
Excellent breakfast and really friendly proprietor.
Lovely guest house. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
I had the single room. It was beautiful, very clean and comfortable.
Would highly recommend staying here.
I stayed over night on my way to Scotland.
Early sign posting to the B&B helped. Arrived early and my room was made ready straight away. Room itself was spotless and the decor could not be faulted, even the roll top bath in the room. Early breakfast available, with choice of hot or cold breakfast. The only downside is that I could only stay the one night as moving on to Carlisle the next morning. This place is one that you bank for future use or recommending to other folk
I had a lovely comfortable stay and the hosts were friendly, helpful and the Breakfast each morning was exceptional.
The layout of my room was slightly unusual and took a little getting used to.
The owner was great. This is an older farm property in a farming area. We enjoyed it as it was different than the usual hotel stays.
Would go again if travling in the area again
Lovely folk. Really enjoyed our stay.Very helpful hosts. Thank you Janice and Caleb.

Arrived at this accommodation at 1pm, being unaware that check in was 4pm (my oversight)
Was pouring with rain and we had just hiked from Carlisle
The landlady was clearly annoyed that we had arrived early as the room was not ready.
I fully understood that the room was not ready, not a problem, but I would assume that if you choose to do business in the hospitality business that your response to the early arrival of a customer would be better than…go back out into the pouring rain for the next three hours..bear in mind that this accommodation is in the middle of nowhere, so our only option was to walk around in the rain for 3 hours, or sit in a very damp looking outdoor covered area, which the landlady generously said we could wait in.
We decided that the best use of the 3 hours we had available to us was by walking to our following days destination of Bowness, were we found nice accommodation and a very hospitable host.
I’m unable to give any review of the accommodation, as I never set foot in side.
Super søde værter tog imod os i gården. De var meget afslappede og rare, og alt gik helt uden problemer. Værelset var pænt og rent, og der var snacks og drikkevarer.
This was the best B &B we have stayed at. Room was lovely and clean, super shower, breakfast was the best we have eaten. Nothing was too much trouble. You must go and stay
This is a beautiful farmhouse in a small village, very quiet and remote location. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed as a small family. Felt very covid safe. It’s now a definite place for use to stay when we are in the area again. Highly recommended.
