Historic Charmer: Updated Historic Gem Near Downtown with Private Yard

    Bed Sizes: King (1) • Queen (1) • Twin (2)
Property Highlights: Historic • Sunroom • Walkable to Downtown • Private Backyard

Historic charm meets modern updates in this downtown Wilmington beauty, located just down the street from the Historic District and Riverwalk, where you'll find galleries, restaurants, and local shops to explore. Looking for a beach day? Wrightsville Beach is only about eight miles east for an easy coastal escape.

At home, start your morning with coffee and wind down in the evening with a cocktail at the patio table tucked into your private backyard retreat.

Inside, the home has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its original character, featuring beautiful hardwood floors, crown molding, and exposed brick accents in the kitchen. The bright, modern kitchen is perfect for gathering, complete with stainless steel appliances, sleek countertops, and a butcher block island. The kitchen flows directly into the dining room, while the inviting sunroom—with three walls of windows—offers another cozy spot to enjoy meals or morning coffee.

After a day exploring downtown museums, shopping, dining, or relaxing at the beach, return home to unwind in the comfort of central AC. Stream your favorite shows, catch up on remote work at the dedicated desk space, then settle into one of four well-appointed bedrooms for the night.

Tomorrow brings another day of adventure—or simply another relaxing day by the water.

Beautiful Home and Area

Loved the house and location but not the cleanliness. Loved that across the street to a wonderful breakfast/lunch diner.

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful historic home. The location is fantastic, close to everything. The house was spotless, very comfortable, and full of charm. The beds were incredibly cozy and everyone slept great. The photos honestly don't do it justice. It’s even more stunning in person. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Nice stay

This is a charming historic home. We enjoyed our stay and it allowed us access to all that Wilmington has to offer. The WiFi was problematic, but not a huge issue as we were out and about.

Stay in historic Wilmington

Well situated, restored home in Wilmington. Easy access to main road to beaches and to downtown Wilmington. Lots of space, although still rough around the edges.

Wonderful Stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful historic home in Wilmington. The house is much bigger than it looks in the photos—truly, the pictures don’t do it justice. It's spacious, immaculately clean, and full of charm and character. You can really feel the history, but with all the modern comforts you'd want for a relaxing getaway. It was the perfect spot for our group to unwind and enjoy some time together. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Spacious, pretty home

Plenty of room inside. Kitchen has the essentials. Internet access was either super-slow or completely non-existent. Nice central location in town. Glad the house has it's own alley parking. I would stay here again if we came back to Wilmington.

Big open house, excellent kitchen.

Pros: We loved the house and layout was perfect for our vacation. The master shower was to die for with constant hot water. The kitchen was huge and open. Well stocked for cooking and entertaining. Beds were comfortable Cons: The yard was unkempt, backyard lights didn’t work and there was a rat that runs around the interior of the house stealing food and peeing on the counters.

Charming with so much character

We stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 and for that purpose the location was perfect. It’s definitely walkable to several fun places in the soda pop district and even downtown! The house is gorgeous and has so much character and so much space. The yard is fully fenced and even though we didn’t bring our dog, he would have been so happy here. The only reason I didn’t give our stay 5 stars is because the road noise is SO loud. It sounded like every window was open and getting restful sleep was impossible.

Historic charmer in Wilmington

House was a good size with plenty of space and bathrooms, but no bath mats were provided, no hangers were provided, and no dressers in the rooms to store clothes. Yard could really use some work. It is situated between two busy streets and a train track - it was loud when trying to sleep. The house could really use some color as well - so minamalist!!

The outside trash can was overflowing upon arrival. Upstairs in the hallway is a small cabinet in the wall that was well stocked with condoms. This was a nice find for my 14 year old daughter. The visible mold around the windows and in the ceiling vent in our master bedroom was concerning. There was also very little toilet paper provided and no paper towels that we could find. In addition, the noise at night was miserable (even with earplugs) with everyone getting minimal sleep during the stay.

Lovely property.. but

This property was really lovely- great outdoor space and well-equipped kitchen. The home is on Market and with that comes a ton of road noise 24 hours a day. Additionally there are no dressers and limited hangers making unpacking kind of impossible. The keypad malfunctioned causing us to have to fumble around in the dark for a lockbox after a call to a rude customer service agent. Will not book again.
