「We had a wonderful 3 generation family gathering at this wonderful property. The pictures do not do it justice. Set up well for everything. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Our grandkids loved the playground area, but spent almost all day in the water or on the kayaks and paddle boats. The dock, deck and fire pit area were great for lounging and watching kids. 「The cabin is very nice, but the positives stop there. I showed up and someone else was in the cabin I had booked. It took an hour to get in touch with the property manager while I sat in my car and he told me to go to a different cabin; I started feeling better about things. However, a stranger came in at 9am in the morning without knocking and woke me up - I have no idea why, and frankly that’s just unsafe. I really wanted to like this place, the cabins are well done, but for the price...

「Husband in great need of fishing - hobby he doesn’t get to do enough. Happily caught 40 fish & we had a fish fry. I enjoyed the hot tub & some fishing. But mainly the quiet, relaxing, secluded location of the cabin. (Walmart 3 minutes away was nice). Beautiful view sitting on porch in the cool breeze was mesmerizing. The host was quick to respond to any question before & during our stay. The ice, water, snacks, & extras made for an inviting welcome.」

「Overall we had a great stay! I would give a few suggestions, such as fans in the living area, even with the A/C set low it was stuffy and warm. In the bedrooms, the fan would not run unless the lights were on, again it got hot at night. The lock on the back door was broken, so we could not access the back yard patio. Overall very cute and perfect for our needs!」

「We were in town for a wedding in nearby Celeste, TX. This was a convenient location for us. The house is great! It’s newly remodeled and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower in the primary suite is amazing! The town of Leonard itself doesn’t have much to offer. Plan on bringing food to cook or driving a ways to eat at a restaurant. Overall, though, it was a pleasant experience!」

「The owners were very nice people but simply overwhelmed with the process. I believe they once had an assistant that helped them on VBRO that quit. We could not get the host to respond to our messages and we had no check in instructions until we called VBRO HQ at 5 pm the actual day of check in. 「The cabins are so great! Good use of space. The retro vibes were so cute. The only picky suggestions I would have is get ahead of the wasp issue. Which almost any cabins problem. And maybe tilt the ladder to the loft a little. Instead of completely vertical. But those are so minor. We will definitely be back!!」

「This is a good hotel. 4-stars due to these cons: Pool was very cold….hot tub was not hot, which was a bummer, but not a deal-breaker. Breakfast wasn’t great, but it’s free.
