「Looked for a place to stay for a family wedding. What a wonderful surprise to find this charming cabin! We were minutes from family and all the festivities. The cabin was clean and very comfortable with beautiful lake views. Played a few games in the rec area downstairs. As will happen on occasion during stormy weather, we lost power. Fortunately the cabin is stocked with plenty of candles and a flashlight. We are looking forward to future stays when we visit family.」

「Overall the Beaver's Den was a nice destination for a get-away. Even though there are many houses around the Den, it was generally very quiet. Very much enjoyed watching the woodpeckers, blue jays and hummingbirds enjoying the bird feeders. Would definitely stay here again if it's available when I'm in the area. Tried to kayak on the Chippewa River but gave up. The river moves deceptively fast and with no experience kayaking and traveling alone I decided trying to kayak would be a very bad...

「Only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. Angie communicated throughout the process-even sending condolences when she found out we were in the area for brother in law’s funeral. Very clean, cozy, and easy to find everything, ie instructions to TV, and house rules. Beautiful view from patio of small lake-moon was full! If ever in the area again, would definitely stay here again :)」

「Although the neighbor looked a little seedy and the porch could use a coat of paint, the interior was just fine for our stay. (Central Michigan University graduation). The price was right and proximity to CMU was key. Although the write up mentioned a hot tub, there was none and the residence was lacking in mirrors. Multiple females with only one bathroom mirror just doesn’t work. Each bedroom could use a mirror big enough to do grooming !」

Spilled milk in refrigerator and pancake batter all over interior trash lid. The loft bedding was not clean and neither was the couch bedding. Cleaning service needs to do better. 「The property was exactly what we were looking for in regards to location and setup. Tucked away in the woods and cozy. We enjoyed the sleeping quarters along with the riverside views provided. The surrounding public hunting was all close and easily reached. The cons we encounterd consisted of no running water due to a frozen pump, the cleanliness was overall okay but we had to wash all the silverware we used.」
