The hotel quality does not match the price at all, about 600dollar per night, but the quality of the hotel facilities, such as the bed and shower room design, is horrible; there is no door for the shower, and the water was splashed outside when you are taking a shower and you feel cold too. The shower head is high and you have to raise your head to avoild your hair wet. For example, the desk light was broken. Furnitures are old... Never come again.

We stayed on the 2nd floor of the hotel and it’s in a quiet neighborhood but the view out our windows, including the bathroom, were loud industrial vents that were eye level — and the noise at 6:30am was unbearable. We had been on a long roadtrip and needed sleep and it was so disappointing. The hotel is in an old RJ Reynolds office building that doesn’t have acoustics for a hotel. If you book, definitely request a high floor

This hotel did not honor a reservation made by Expedia. We booked a premium room with 2 queen beds, a sofa area and a "view" is what the site stated. They gave us a very small single King room, no sofa, no space, tiny bathroom and a view of the building next door. It would not have been such a huge issue except we were traveling as a work group and needed two beds and space to spread out. They also charged us for the premium room ($1000 per night) and said they could not help us due to the fact we booked through expedia even after I showed the reservation details that had been confirmed. Also, the bathroom barn door did not close fully and gave no privacy whatsoever. Not a single towel hook for towels to be hung. The overall experience was super disappointing for $1000 a night. Very disappointing!

Comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant and common areas. Walkable to local eateries, and coffee shops. Room comfortable and clean but dark with very little natural light and no view. Problems with keycard entry, two of us staying in room and only one card seemed to work all the time. This had also happened on a previous stay.

Front staff was exceptional...One staffmember went out of his way to help me intk the hotel from walking from garage behind hotel...Retaurant staff (barfender) was outstanding...I def will stay here again and highly recommend...

The Kimpton Cardinal Hotel is a boutique hotel and, as such, it fills the bill in unique, hip design. It was very comfortable. One thing makes this less than a rave review. There was no coffee maker in the room. This is such a common thing in hotels these days that I did not notice it missing until the morning. When I called the front desk, they had one brought up to me after a wait of around 20 minutes.

So the staff is awesome however No microwave in the room u have to call down for it. Iron did not work they had to bring me a new one. It was supposed to be with a view and have a bath tub as showed in the pictures however there was definitely not a view of down town and there are no tubs at all. Was told I looked at their other location however I was in Winston Salem so I know better we had a king bed very comfortable however their pillows was like sleeping on bricks

Traveled to Winston for a quick trip with my wife, 5 year, and 3 year old. We couldn’t have been happier with this place. It was a beautiful remodel, but our stay was exceptional because of the service really. Letia and Kenya at the front desk were absolutely the best! The went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodated. We called ahead and they got us into our room early and even allowed us some extra time on check out day. I read a lot of complaints about this place, so we were reluctant to stay. Everything was very clean. The game room area was like nothing I’ve seen in a hotel before with a bowling alley, pool table, basketball court, and lots of TVs. I can say without a doubt that we will stay here again.

Ease of parking a plus. Room and corridors smelled like cigarette smoke to me. My wife didn't notice it. Maybe left over from the building's earlier life.
