「This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! 「The cottage was nice for what we needed which was a place to shower and sleep. It was a little further from Acadia National Park (about 45 minute drive one-way). Allen was very kind and welcoming. The grounds were in need of some care and we are pretty sure there was a mouse in the cottage.」

「Location, cleanliness, amenities were all a 10, but the downstairs bed was hard as a rock, and the others were so so. Comfortable beds are a must, Invest in some better bedding and this place would be a perfect 10. I would also suggest a queen sized bed for the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise we had a great vacation visiting Acadia and the surrounding area.」

「The property was clean and as listed upon arrival. Our son loved having the water right up the the house and being able to fish. The house was well furnished, had extra blankets and adequate kitchen supplies. Any drawbacks were minor; limited food storage (pantry) space and limited local entertainment . 「My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights, both 19 years old, to visit Acadia National Park. The check-in process was very easy, and we got in an hour early which was great. I would definitely recommend having no more than 3 guests as it is a very tight squeeze, but it worked out since it was really just a place to sleep. 「Great location for hiking Acadia NP. Inquired if there was a fire pit, the booking agency said no, but we found out as we were leaving that there was a shared fire pit-disappointed. Stairs to bedrooms were very steep-ok for able adults, but hazardous for children and others. Enjoyed the accommodations and location.」

「Myself and my family stayed at this property for a week. Had a few bumps when we first got there but the property manager was absolutely amazing. Responded immediately and got everything straightened out. The property is beautiful whether you are outside or looking out from inside. Was further than I thought from Acadia but we managed. No issues with the hot water and there were 6 of us. We had fun filled days and very peaceful relaxing evenings. Wonderful rental.」

「We loved the quiet getaway this cabin provided. It was very clean. We were able to easily explore Acadia (both MDI and the Schoodic peninsula) from here.
