Mixed feelings
Pros:- very secure & safe, clean but dated, close to shops, library, parks, restaurants, has bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, generally well equipped. Close to many services. Nice city downtown. Friendly people in complex. Cons:- dark kitchen with no windows, uncomfortable bed in master, old wall to wall carpeting, windows & screens need replacing, noisy at night (need earplugs & triple glazing) because of proximity to busy road & hospital, communal pool is unheated (unusable in January). Skylight leaking. Strong musty smell inside after rain. House needs a rehab or renovation, since it was built in 1983. Okay for a short stay but not a longer one.

Great Place
We loved our month long stay at this property. It was exactly as described, including a very comfortable king size bed. The neighborhood was so nice to walk about. The local coffee shop, restaurants and the Winter Haven Theater presentations were great. The owner Jane was very easy to communicate and checked in with us to make sure everything was good. I would definitly stay here again

Great home away from home
This location provided us everything and more. This location was so comfortable and quiet that our hectic trip was made even more peaceful. We loved the full dining room and kitchen which allowed us to cook for my niece who was in school nearby. We also loved having full baths for each bedroom along with all the amenities. The location also made commuting very easy. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Check in process was explained very well. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated.

Haven Place Review
We recently stayed in Downtown Winter Haven, Fl. at Haven Place. It was roomy and pleasant with everything you would want. We were there for 2 weeks and were able to enjoy the restaurants, shops, and park in their vibrant downtown area. Even though you can't see any windows from the outside of the condo, the rooms are filled with light thanks to the lovely courtyards in both front and back.

A perfect stay in Winter Haven
We really enjoyed our time here. You can't beat the downtown location, which is a short walk to shops, coffee, and restaurants. We were impressed with the decor and layout, which features two patios. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and the owner is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Loved this property!! Don't pass this one up!!
We absolutely loved this property!! The condo was very clean, cozy and homey. We were so comfortable there and enjoyed the two courtyards. After a long day of baseball, it was nice to come back to a comfortable living room where we could stretch out. We had all the conveniences of being at home. We would highly recommend this condo!! The location was so convenient to downtown Winter Haven. We were able to walk around town, visit the shops, try out the many different restaurants and relax at Richard's Coffee Shop. If you love antiques/old stuff, you have to check out Country Primitives Vintage Market. Our sons were playing in a baseball tournament and we were only 5 minutes from the fields......PERFECT!! Thank you Jane and Ronni for your hospitality and for sharing your lovely condo!!

Great location for our needs, condo is well laid out and good size for four people.
There were a few things that were not quite ready for guests but Jane was gracious and helped as she could. We were the first guests after a long term tenant. I assume she has rectified a missing hairdrier and replaced an iron that did not work. I also suggested she look into new mattresses, they were not very comfortable. Otherwise the condo is very well stocked and comfortable, close to downtown Winter Haven and a nice walking path by a lake.

We were so happy that you were our first guests as you were so kind in the communication back and forth about the items that were not up to par. That's what happens when you own a property but don't live there. You only know about problems when you are told. We replaced the hair dryer and the iron immediately upon your departure. We are in the process of taking care of the bed issues. It's funny though, some people find them extremely comfortable but, we understand that that comfort level isn't for everyone. We are attending to the mattress issue right now. Thank you again for your visit as well as your very constructive comments about your stay

Best choice place to stay!!
What a perfect home away from home! Thank you to our host for the basket of wine and chocolates for our family upon arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked for any meal prep you’re planning. The dining and living areas on the main floor are plenty big with lots of seating. TV with all you need to relax in comfort. Bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are very comfortable. Our family has 5 children and each had a bed (pack n play provided for the baby too!). This was the perfect layout and we appreciated our stay. Hope you do too!

Unique condo
We enjoyed the condo for many reasons but it's uniqueness with the patio's was really cool. It was between all the places we wanted to see and my daughter loved the pool. Too much cement walls
The condo looked as advertised and was clean. But I did not like that both of the patio's were surrounded by two story cement walls. You could never get any direct sunlight or any breeze through the doors or windows.

Clean, convenient, spacious
A great location, very clean and spacious. Loved the fact that is was close to the RussMatt Tournament college baseball fields, a great coffee shop, and central to many of the retail and dining options available in Winter Haven. Would stay again!

We try very hard ,through the photos and property description, to detail the property's indoor courtyards. As can be seen from the pictures, there are actually huge windows in the bedrooms and floor to ceiling sliders in the living room and dining rooms. These lead to the courtyards which give a feeling of bringing the outdoors inside. And, the park is right outside the front door. This architecture appeals to many of our guests, as you can read from other reviews. It is a specific mid century modern design which some people love. We are very sorry that it did not appeal to you and your family

Wonderful location - beautiful decor - awesome condo owner
The condo was very well equipped, things were easy to find. Plenty of space for your personal items in the kitchen and bedrooms. The only reason is it not a 5 for us is that it is a townhouse, and my knees are not what they used to be. The owner was quite responsive generally answering questions within a few hours. It is great place from which to explore downtown and the surrounding area. Oh did I mention a 2 block walk to a beautiful lake with walking path. If you want a central location, this place cannot be beat. Only caution is that it is downtown - which I LOVED, but it can be a bit nosy at times. However, ear plugs took care of that in a heartbeat.

Unique condo great location.
We really enjoyed the front and back patios. There were lots of extras in the condo so you truly only need your Clothes. Dealing with the owner was easy and Jane was very accommodating. Only down side was pool was to cold to use. Would absolutely stay again thanks Jane.

Legoland Trip
Our family came for a short trip to Legoland. We are a family of three so this condo was perfect for us. It was a very short drive to Legoland and was convenient to everything. We liked walking downtown to eat supper at local eateries. The condo is very secure and private and would be a good choice for any family. Very Comfortable Accomodation
Lovely renovated condo in downtown Winter Haven. Withing walking distance to many nice restaurants. Onsite parking was a bit cramped for our vehicle but ample street parking was available. Owners instructions for checking in and out very clear. Great option vs. hotels.

Amaaaaaazing!!
Jane is my personal hero. I emailed at 4 am to book a stay the next day because the hotel I had booked weeks again of time was gross. Jane replied right away and was sooo accommodating. The condo itself is just lovely. Wonderful decorating, good quality appliances and the beds were amazing. My kids said theirs were awesome and mine was heavenly. A wonderful pillowtop. There is a pool for the complex though it's nothing special. It is completely walled in and private. The pictures posted are entirely accurate, the condo really is wonderful. It's only a 10 minute drive to legoland and no real traffic getting there. Would stay again!

Quiet property right downtown

We do not generally have guests with pets but we were happy to do do so for you (once we went over the extra requirements that we have for pet owners. Great Stay!!
We had a wonderful stay in Winter Haven! The condo was super clean and fit our needs! We spent two days at Legoland (Short - 15 min drive!). It was great to be able to come back to the condo and relax, watch t.v., swim. Staying in the condo was so much nicer than staying in a hotel room. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Great vacation property!
We stayed at this wonderful property when we came to Florida for my daughters 5th birthday vacation for 5 days!! This was my first stay in a VRBO property and I must stay, I hope that they are all like this. Jane was awesome and helped out so much before, and during while we were there. The property was cozy and just what we needed for a no stressful vacation and birthday celebration. I would definitely recommended it to anyone coming to this area, hands down!! Clean and convenient
The condo was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The HVAC worked well. Having sheets and towels provided was a huge help for us. I was most impressed that there was a first-aid kit onsite. Jane was easy to work with, and she answered all our questions. It is easy to get to Legoland from the condo. This is a small quibble, but I wish that there was a way to recycle.

Unfortunately, we had a recycle binthat was available for condo use. But, because it is located on the main street alongside the dumpster, people in the community would fill it with trash. So we had to remove it. There is a location that people can drive to but that is quite inconvenient for our short-term guests.

Nice "Aztec, yet modern" condo located near everything!
The condo was very affordable and offered an easy route to near everything in Winter Haven as it was centrally located. The unit was clean considering deep cleans aren't always performed in unit year round to expect perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and cozy comfort this condo offered. I especially thought it was interesting that it had a "bidet" toilet in the Master as I had never physically seen one- quite a neat feature. There are a few suggestion that I feel would be most helpful as a property manager myself, but will address those directly with the owner as they don't currently nor did they affect my stay in any way. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS CONDO- The owner was very easy to deal with and well communicative.

Jane's vacation home
We had a great stay at this condo. It was exactly as described. The amenities were great as was the location. We walked to the local coffee shop in the morning and to the downtown restaurants in the evenings. It was a short drive to Legoland which our Grandson loved. It was a great experience, I would recommend this home for anyone visiting the Winter Haven area.

A true Haven from Winter
My husband and I spent 6 weeks at this truly amazing property. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home in our clean, well appointed townhouse. Centrally located in the quaint downtown area, we found ourself just steps away from a variety of restaurants, great entertainment and warm, friendly people. The townhouse had everything we needed for an extended stay and the owners were only a phone call away if we needed anything. We travel a lot and I would have to say this was one of the nicest surprises we ever experienced. Jane and Ronnie...you ladies really know how to do it right.
